granny's comin'...

my grandma's coming to visit us next week and i'm really looking forward to it. my mom is usually at work all day and i'm lonesome all by myself, so this will give me a whole week of undivided attention from not one, but TWO feline worshippers. (as it should be!) i can't wait to make my mom jealous when i snuggle up on my grandma's lap. i'm ornery like that!

mom just started volunteering in cat adoptions at the SFSPCA, where she got me back in july. she said she gets all emotional and choked up whenever she goes by the kitty condo i lived in before she brought me home. i remember that place and how happy i was when she came in to visit me. it was love at first sight for both of us and within an hour i was nestled in her lap on our favorite chair.

there are so many good kitties still there just waiting for someone to take them home and love them as much as my mommy loves me. ninety-seven kitties found homes last month so she's hoping they'll top 100 this month. i'll keep you posted!

good riddance, halloween!

phew! what a relief that's finally behind us. if my mom tried to put me in one more outfit, the fur was gonna fly. i hope i made it purrfectly clear to her that i have a gorgeous fur coat of my own and i intend to flaunt it, not cover it up with the tacky crap she finds at petco! i asked her, "would you be caught dead in this get up? then why would you expect me to?"

if i've told her once, i've told her a million times, "dignity! always dignity!"

anyway, i'm glad to have found catster and i'm excited to have so many devine and lovely friends already! i hope to make many more and leave treats and messages for all of them once i figure out how to navigate this thing.
