The tale of the tail... happy endings

We got home from the vet just a little while back, and I GET TO KEEP MY TAIL!

Yes, that's right... we saw the vet (our usual guy), and he took off all my bandages... and my tail is looking great! There's no sign of infection, I'm healing extremely well, and he said (direct quote) "If this were my cat I wouldn't be considering surgery."

WOO HOO!!!!!!

So now I don't have a bandage any more, although half my tail was shaved so it looks a little funny. Mommy has a special solution that she'll mix with warm water to give the tip of my tail a bath twice a day to help it heal, and we have another follow up visit in 2 weeks. After that so long as everything still looks OK then I don't have to go back any more.

I'm pretty happy about that, but mommy is so relieved I swear I think I heard her purring!

Oh - the vet gave me a complete checkup too after hearing about my twitchies last night. He has no idea what caused it, 'cause he said I'm in excellent health. My blood pressure was fine, eyes looked good, lungs and heart sounded good... he even took my temperature (the INDIGNITY)... and everything came back completely normal. So for now everyone is just going to hope this was a one-time oddity and we won't see it again.
