After my tail trauma yesterday I'm feeling pretty good. OK - I'm on some pretty hefty pain medication, but the vet said that side effects could include me being extra sleepy and possibly losing my appetite.
I decided that I had to prove her wrong, so I've been extra hungry. And mommy feels so awful she will give me pretty much whatever I want! So I keep getting lots of small yummy meals of my canned food. Plus lots and lots of extra pets! When mom came back from her walk with Sydney this morning she even laid down with me for 5 minutes and just held me.
Oh - and I'm completely ignoring the stupid green thing on my tail that mom is calling a "ban-duhj". I don't know what it is, but it keeps following me around so I refuse to give it any attention. I won't look at it, I won't sniff it, nothing. So there!
I also had to take a pill this morning, which wasn't as fun. I spit it out the first two times, but eventually mommy won out and I ate it. But all in all, I'm feeling pretty good and I attribute it to all my wonderful pals who are sending me the POTP (Power Of The Paw). Your pawsitive thoughts are definitely helping!
Also, while I was in the vet stole some of my blood. They're testing again to see how my kidneys are doing, since it has been 5 months since my last test. I need paw-rayers for that too, 'cause I need to make sure my BUN and Creatinine don't go up since those are indicative of my kidney function.
Our next vet visit is tomorrow afternoon. They'll change my bandage and check on the progress of my tail. Until then, my dear pals, I think it is time for another nap before mom comes home to check on me at lunchtime.
