indoors Arrival Story: I went to the animal shelter Thursday (it was surgery day) and a man walked in with this little ball of fluff. He had it scruffed and was holding it as far away from him as possible. His wife is a landscaper and she found her in a flowerbed under a bush. They had her for 2 days trying to get her to eat hard food and canned food and all sorts of stuff, but she hadn't been weaned. So the man reluctantly brought her to the shelter hoping that someone there could help her. We took her in to foster her until she was old enough to be adopted and we recently found out that she has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. CH is a defect of the cerebellum in the brain and is caused by the mother having distemper while the kittens are in utero. Molly can lead a happy and healthy life with her disability she's just a little messy when she's eating. She runs in a zig-zag fashion and loses her balance, she is easily spooked but she seems to be improving a little more every day.

Hey there! Well i'm really liking this new home, sure beats that ol' bush he he. *switches to mom* We think that Molly might have some sort of neurological issue. She's about 5 1/2 weeks old and still hasn't figured out how to eat or drink. She is unstable, loses her balance, runs into things, and just randomly falls over. I put up a video of her fumbling around and I am asking for any input on this situation. It is possible that she may be put down unless the man that brought her into the shelter will take her back. She is one of the sweetest most adorable kittens and it would absolutely break my heart for her to be put down because she's a little weird :). I think the thing that will seal the deal on her being PTS is if she can figure out how to eat, We are not sure if she has enough balance to eat or not. But if anybody has ever dealt with anything like this or heard of anything like this I would appreciate any advice that you have to give. thanks!

Well today is my second day here and i'm eating like a pig!! I had a bath to get rid of those fleas and I am looking great! Mom's watching me because she thinks I might have ringworm, that would be REALLY bad. Anyways mommy is moving me to the big cage tonight ( big enough fora greyhound to stay in and still ahve room to move) i'm real excited about that. This cage is just too tiny. Anyways, I will update on my progress in a little bit!
