Arrival Story:
Sweet Pea was one of three kittens born to a solid white deaf mom cat. We took her and her sisters in at 3 weeks old and began bottle feeding them - they all weighed less than a half pound! I am happy to say that her sisters have found loving homes, and so has her mom. We thought SweetPea may be deaf as well, but I am also happy to report she is not - her hearing developed a little late but it's great now!
Bio:
SweetPea loves a cuddle and a kiss from her brother er uh boyfriend Harley! She is a mamma's girl and doesn't let any one but me hold her. She is a fighter and a survivor, when she was rescued she was the smallest out of the three sisters and she was very sick. The Vet told us that Sweet Pea would probably not live, but that he felt fairly sure the others would. He looked at her and said " I really don't think this little one is going to make it". Her mom was deaf, so she couldn't hear them cry for food, and they were tiny. Anyway, we brought her home and I was a nerous wreck making their little bottles - I had never bottle fed kittens before! My baby Pea took her bottle just like that and ate better than her sisters, she gained weight faster and was the first one to lap milk from a saucer. She is my sweet baby.
