well, we bought some property for our corporation and there were cats there, discarded from the neighborhood trailer park.
That was in 1996. Struppy, Little Mask and Checky were already there, then. Both girls pregnant, of course. I had them fixed quickly and have taken care of all the kitties that come wandering over ever since
Bio:
Struppy had weird fur and we had to shave her every once in a while, as her fur got so matted that it was sticking out in clumps and knots. She was very petite and such a sweetheart, always friendly and wanting to be petted. For many years she was Little Mask's girlfriend, but since he's gotten older, he turned into a real carmudgeon and doesn't like anycat a lot.
Because Struppy is partly feral, she could never be adopted, as she was not housebroken. This is also the reason why my sanctuary cats cannot get full medical attention, as they cannot stand being caged for more than a day or so. During last winter she lost some weight, and one chilly spring morning, she lay dead at our back door when I came to work. She looked like she was sleeping. Sweet girl. I guess she was about 11 years old.
