Arrival Story: I brought Sage home on 8/6/06, the same day as Rowdy. Her original foster mom died suddenly and unexpectedly about a year ago so all of the animals in that foster home had to be quickly placed here and there. Sage lived for a year in a cat room where the more dominant cats were constantly picking on her. I brought her to my house to give her some individual attention. I've had her for over two months and she's still very timid but she's coming along well. I've shown her at the Petsmart Adoption Center twice. 11/4/06: Sage was adopted today by an older couple with no other cats. I think their nice, quiet home will be just what she needs! 11/13/06: I picked Sage up last night because, after only a week, the new owners felt it wasn't going to work out. Now she and Sara are living together in my bathroom. We'll see how that works. 3/15/07: Sage graduated out of the bathroom and was doing fairly well living in the cat room with Sara and my two cats. I found out that Sara is apparently her mom. Their recollection is that Sara wasn't her biological mom, but she nursed her as a kitten. Cute, huh. Anyway, Sage was adopted again yesterday by a nice young guy who thought she was beautiful and wanted a challenge. He said he wanted to feel like he was "rescuing" an animal. I was touched by that because he's really the only person since August who's had any interest in Sage and really given her a chance based on how she is, not how they want her to be. He bought her a new carrier with a soft gray pad to go inside and one of those cool drinking fountain things. I hope this is her forever home!
