Another Angel has Come to the Bridge

Friday morning, Junior, a beautiful angel had to leave mommy to join me at the bridge. He had no signs of illness or injury and mommy is still shocked. "Juey" was particularly close to mommy. Several years ago, a neighbor through Junior around by his tail and hurt him real bad. Junior got in some bites and got away. Mommy and Daddy decided to have him quarantined for 10 days so that if the man filed a complaint, they couldn't take Junior away. Mommy went and stayed with him for at least an hour every day during that time. After that, Mommy and Junior were closer than ever. Junior was sweet and loving and will be missed very much. Junior joins me, Gracie Lynne, Juice, Lu Lu, Bleu, and Spot at the bridge.

My darling Domino,

It has now been three years since you left for the bridge. We all miss you dearly and think of you daily. We have finally reached the point where we can remember and talk about the good times and laugh. Our favorites are when you would stand at the door and call Oreo. I can still hear your, "meuwemo, meuwemo". I also remember how, when we were watching a scary movie, you would jump under the blanket and hide when the scary music came on. My dearest moment was how, when I'd hold you, you'd put your paw over my mouth. You did this once, and only once, as I held you all day that last day you were here with us. I take some ease in knowing you are no longer sick. Please know, that no matter how much time passes, you will never be forgotten, and we will always love you! Please let Sweet Gracie Lynn know that she is never far from our hearts and we love and miss her too! We gave Sophie Gracie's middle name to honor and remember her!

We love you both,

Mommy

This morning, mommy was in the kitty room to clean it, play with the cats, etc... and Gracie was on the big dog crate, she jumped down on top of little box, then to the floor. It looked like she seized, but mommy's not sure. Then, mommy picked her up. She was limp, but still breathing. She took two shallow breaths and then was gone. There was no sign of anything being wrong, no sign of illness, nothing until this happened. Mommy is very upset, and Gracie is with me at the bridge. Mommy said that when she finds a picture of Gracie, she'll make her a page.

Rest in Peace Sweet Gracie Lynn

Happy Birthday my sweet Domino. You would be 7 tomorrow, and I try so very hard to remember the good times. It is hard to celebrate your brother's birthday knowing that you should be here too. I remember how you would tolerate your birthday hat knowing you would get fresh shrimp. I miss you so much sweet boy. I have been unable to clean out your "sick room" that we made from the old crate so you could be with the other cats but comfortable as you tried to heal. I know it's where you spent your last night at home and have not touched it since you left us. I hope you have a big party up at the bridge. I only wish I could be there. I love you my sweet sweet angel! I miss you more then words could say!

A Year Later

It's been just over a year since you went to live at Rainbow Bridge, and you've been on my mind a lot recently. I want you to know that no one has forgotten you. I am glad you are no longer in pain and that you're not sick anymore. But, I would give anything to have you back with us. I hope you know I did everything I could do to save you, and if we thought we had any chance of saving you, we would have done what ever it took. But, when the doctor told us you weren't going to be able to pull through, we couldn't let you hurt just to have one more day or week. That wouldn't have been fair to you. I will always hold dear that last day I had with you where I just held you all day. I hope you remember that and know how much we love you. Oreo and the rest of the kitties are doing well. I haven't moved the big kennel we had to keep you in those two days they sent you home when you were sick because I can't take you out of that room just yet. I hope you were OK in there. Since it was Harley's crate, we thought you'd have enough room and you'd be close to your brother but the other kitties couldn't bother you. I hope you can keep an eye on us from up there. We all love you and miss you dearly.
