I was working on a political campaign in 1980 and from the window in front of my desk, I saw a tiny white kitten running back and forth across a very busy street. I quickly ran outside and snatched him up. He was so gorgeous. He had one blue eye and one violet colored eye...an odd-eyed white who wasn't deaf. I thought of all the usual names for a white kitty .... Snowball, Casper, Whitey, etc.,...and then the Elton John song "Honky Cat" came to mind. I thought it fit.
Honky began to have a lot of problems with FUS. We changed foods, giving him only prescription food that we bought from the vet. Still, he continued to suffer from this very painful illness. The vet we were seeing at that time suggested that we get him an operation where all his male parts were removed and he was fashioned with a vagina-type urethrea. He had a sex change operation, in effect. He was given female hormones to help him adjust. He began to chase all the cats around the house and hold them down to clean them just like a mother cat would do. Honky began to pee on things. He would pee on anything new that came into the house. Once a missionary girl from Japan came to visit, and he peed on her coat and backpack. He peed on the insurance man's coat. Things began to smell, no matter how much I cleaned and cleaned. We took him to the vet to see if anything was wrong. There wasn't any medical reason for it and the vet suggested that we take him to an animal psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania. I kid you not! There were many stressful things going on in my life at the time and I thought the best thing to do would be to try to find him a home on a farm or out in the country where he would be safe outdoors. After many months --- and lots of pee cleaning --- I finally found him what I thought was a safe outdoor home. Several months later, I received a call from someone telling me that they had found Honky killed on the road and his collar with my name, address and phone number was still on him. I've never forgiven myself completely for what happened to Honky.

I received this from the beautiful/handsome PWK, Swee'Pea, who happens to be my sweetie's (Tea Hot) earth brother.
It seems we have a game going on. its sort of a combination tag and getting to know you. I guess the idea is to tell a bit about yourself...7 facts you might not know...or maybe you do. You then send it on to 7 other kitties. It didn't say to do this, but I think it would be nice to send one back to whoever tagged you as well.
I think you are supposed to do some sort of blog about yourself on your page as well. I'm going to at least do the 7 facts...if I can think of that many. Here goes:
1...I have one violet eye and one blue eye and am not deaf
2...My girlfriend on Catster is Tea Hot Earl Gray, which is a very fitting name. I call her "T" and she is REALLY HOT!
3...I love being a member of the Furry Federation because I'm a big Star Trek fan.
4...I love being a member of the PWKC(who has honored me twice since I've been a member --- this time is Memorial Day and my pic is on their home page as one of the PWK who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge.)
5...When I was still on earth, I loved to eat watermelon.
6...I am a transexual, having been born a male and due to urinary tract problems, had a sex change operation. Don't worry, Tea, my sweet! I'm back to my original maleness here at the Bridge!
7...I was NOT afraid of Rottweilers! My neighbor back on earth had one and I chased her down the street yelping!

Below is a message from my friend, Mary, in Michigan. She needs to find a home for her mother's kitty, Buster. His pix are #2 and #3 on my page. Mary is a good cat purrrrr-son, but she has 5 indoor cats and 2 outdoor cats that she cares for. She needs to find a home for her Mom's cat, Buster. See what she wrote below:
My name is Buster, and my owner is a nice lady. We live out in the country. But my owner is older now - 86 - and cannot provide for me anymore. I would very much appreciate a good home where I promise to provide lots of kitty love, kisses and companionship for years to come, if only you'll love me back. I'm only 8-months old, a boy kitty, and very cute as you can see. I'm used to being an in & outdoor kitty, and would not be happy living in a cage somewhere.
Please look at my cute face and say, YES, he's the one for me!
(I'll provide needed medical prior to release. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!)
