Arrival Story: Poppy was a stray who came to a 'dog home', where we had never owned a cat before. She started appearing at night during a very hot Summer, and when Winter arrived she decided to try coming inside where there was ducted heating. She disappeared for about a Month, but then suddenly returned, and she was ours !!
Bio: Here in Australia, her breed is known as a 'Chinchilla' ,(not the rodent !!) Poppy loves to wake you up in the morning to be fed, by continually meowing until you can't take it anymore - she always wins. The dogs think this is a great , as they then get fed. Every now and then, Poppy decides to race up and down the hallway, up and over things, like it is a 'Grand Prix Racetrack' !!

Not a rodent, which is also a Chinchilla in other Countries, but here in Australia, I'm considered a beautful cat.
I have a nickname, it's Edna, after Dame Edna Everage, because sometimes I put on this look that reminds my mum's of the 'Famous Australian Housewife & Superstar' !!!
I curl up one side of my mouth just like her.
I was a stray, who found a good place to call 'Home' - that waa 210 years ago.
I live a good life, even though there are dogs living here also.
I live with 'Jade' a Labrador X Golden Retriver who is 10, 'Mimi' a Golden Retriever who is 3, and 'Scout', 13 weeks old, a Miniature Long Haired Dachshund,who has just joined this Family.
I get along with 'Jade' and 'Mimi', and am slowly letting 'Scout' know not to mess with me. She's a little exciable now, but she'll
mellow in time I'm sure.
There was another dog who used to live here, 'Nicholas', a Miniature Long Haired Dachshund, but he went to Rainbow Bridge nearly a year ago now. he was 17 yrs old, and we got on well.
We could cuddle next to each other without any problems between us. us little one's had to stick together.
So I've been looked after by the 'big girl's' since he left,
and now I have to 'train' another dog - "so much to do, so little time to do it in" !!!
Oh well, time to get the servants to feed me again :)
