Snoopy's Diary
8/16/10August 16th 2010 11:38 am[ Leave A Comment ] A couple weeks ago my parents almost lost her because she slipped out of her collar they had attached to a leash when chasing a bunny. Luckily my mom found her a couple houses away in their backyard under a bush being real quiet. Thank God there were no dogs and those people were not home! Never, ever walk your cat without a harness or two on!
Health care costs for a cat costs more than it does for- humans?July 1st 2009 10:55 pm[ Leave A Comment ] 7/1/9 Snoopy's elderly parents told me last week that Snoopy's behavior changed and when they brought her in to the vet, she had a fever of 105! She was kept overnight, given IV fluids, a nausea medication, two different anti-biotics, got an x-ray and took blood as well. She started eating and Snoopy's parents took her home early but did not receive a diagnosis or followup instructions from one of the top vets in the state so they probably will be looking for another vet since that all cost over $700! When I talked to a vet at the hospital, she said the next step would be an ultrasound to check the pancreas and that is $300!
5/3/7May 3rd 2007 4:03 pm[ Leave A Comment ] About a week ago Snoopy did not have a good day. Seems she attacked unprovoked my brother's youngest son for simply sitting on the bed she usually sleeps on. Poor kid had claw marks behind each ear and a bite in the middle of the forhead. Her vet said that he has heard of that happening and to just keep her isolated from kids.
2/11/07February 11th 2007 6:31 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Hey everyone! I am off with mom and dad on my first RV trip and we are going somewhere warmer! I am so excited that I just don't know if I am going to hide or look out windows or ride on the dash! Lucky me!
1/2/07January 2nd 2007 7:16 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Just a short note of thanks to the new owners of Snoopy. They put us all up (even the cats) over the holidays when our power went out because of the ice storm. Snoopy had to share her new home and hissed at Taluc, who promptly ran up to her and bopped her on the nose! Prancer enjoyed watching the birds and visiting with all the neices and nephews while Minuet got to wear Snoopy's red jester collar for awhile because she lost hers and we needed to hear her.
October 2006...November 10th 2006 11:21 am[ Leave A Comment ] Hi everyone! Snoopy is doing well beyond what I imagined for her. She has pretty much hit the cat lottery. She has a huge house completely her own and two devoted owners that brush her and wipe her down everyday. They are completely in love with her and her presence has brought my dad's blood pressure way down! She only drinks fresh water now and gets her nails clipped on a regular basis. In return she is very loving, splitting her sleep time up between anyone in the house. She also serves as an alarm clock every morning (chewing lightly on some fingers if you don't get up!) and gives you company while you brush your teeth. I worried she would for sure trash something at this new place by getting into some feathers or jumping on and knocking off some expensive and rare knick nack but she's been the perfect lady and even seems to know a little English. I miss her here although I get to visit her just about every month. Soon she will get to meet her new vet that has been taking care of all our pets and I am very excited to show her off.
