my glucose is finally regulated!!

I'm so happy! My mom is even happier.. now I only have to go to the vet once a month, and that's going to save her a lot of money.

Life is good.

I have an appt at 12 with the vet. Every day I'm getting better... now I have the energy to climb up on the chair and watch the birds out of the window. I have an appetite again and I'm steadily gaining weight. =]

I'm doing so much better!!

I gained almost 2 pounds! My vet is so proud! We're still having some trouble regulating my glucose, but it's coming down a little. My vet says the main things are that I'm healthier now. =]

The shots aren't that bad anymore. My mom pets me and gives me some food and tells me that I'm a good girl. I don't really mind them. Except when she wakes me up from a nap to give me a shot. Then I bite her!

Good news!

I went to the vet today and my glucose went down! Last week, it was 428. Now, it's 396. My vet was pretty happy that it went down a lot, but since he still thinks it's pretty high, he put me on 4 units of insulin twice a day. Jeez! Everytime I see that guy he gives me a higher dose! Oh well, hopefully my glucose will be normal by next week??? Maybe.

Everything else is great. My mom got me a new carrier. That old one was too small! I don't mind this one as much. As long as those annoying dogs can't get me at the vets, I'm fine.

Having diabetes is rough...

I became ketonic earlier this week. Luckily my mom took me to the vet right away. It was awful! I had to stay at the animal emergency clinic for 2 nights! And they shaved my arms and kept poking me with needles... but I got back at them by peeing on them a couple of times.

I was so glad that I got to come home today. I'm a little self-conscious about the bald spots on my arms, but my mom says I'm gorgeous anyway. I'm feeling a LOT better now!
