Hobbes is too cool for toys. Although my brother swears that sometimes he'll wake up in the middle of night and find her beating the poo out of a pillow. And sometimes if Hobbes is in a hyper mood, she'll attack my hair.

In the dining room corner, but she also likes the couch in the basement.

Favorite Food:
kitty treats, but she can't have any because she's diabetic.

She can leap really high, and draw a lot of blood when she bites.

Arrival Story:
We got Hobbes when I was 2 years old from a pet store. My mom got her because me, my sister and my brother all had the chicken pox and she wanted us to feel better, so she got a cute little calico kitten.

Bio:
Hobbes was named after the tiger in the comic Calvin and Hobbes, because that's my dad's favorite comic. Since he didn't like cats or want any pets, my mom thought that if she named the cat after something my dad liked he would let us keep her. It worked! We've had her for 14 years. Hobbes has also had diabetes for 3 years, mainly because we gave her too many kitty treats (Each of the 5 people in my family would give her a few a day without realizing she had already had some) and she figured out how to open the kitty treats by herself.

I'm so happy! My mom is even happier.. now I only have to go to the vet once a month, and that's going to save her a lot of money.

I have an appt at 12 with the vet. Every day I'm getting better... now I have the energy to climb up on the chair and watch the birds out of the window. I have an appetite again and I'm steadily gaining weight. =]

I gained almost 2 pounds! My vet is so proud! We're still having some trouble regulating my glucose, but it's coming down a little. My vet says the main things are that I'm healthier now. =]

The shots aren't that bad anymore. My mom pets me and gives me some food and tells me that I'm a good girl. I don't really mind them. Except when she wakes me up from a nap to give me a shot. Then I bite her!
