Skills: Walking on a leash. When in Colorado, he wanted to go out in a snowstorm, so to keep him from getting locked in someone's Garage, I Leash-trained him. He'd go Crazy, if he saw the leash.
Arrival Story: D.C. was one of Malone's kittens from her second litter. He was the only Black one, so I had to keep him. His sister, Molly, was also kept by Momma. One time, he got lost in Havasu, Az. & he was wearing an I.D. tag on his collar. After six weeks, someone found him & the Humane Society called me to come get him. He never let me out of his sight after that. "Me & My Shadow".
Bio: D.C. learned to walk on a leash when we lived in Denver, in the Winter. He wanted to go outside, but I was afraid he'd get locked in someone's garage, so I created a Harness out of a "Snap-in" type of collar, for his girth, with a short piece of thin collar fabric with a clip, to hook onto his existing collar.(Better than a figure-8, can't slip out! Easier than Buckles, too!) He loved going for walkies, something we continued, until he was too weak to do it. He would see the Harness, and begin Meowing frantically 'cause he loved it so much! He loved to take "Dirt-Baths", by rolling in the sand. At age 13, he started having seizures, which frightened me. I would hold him until it was "over". They became more frequent, during the last year of his life. When he passed away, at age 16-1/2, I had him cremated, & he is now in a pretty Box up on the Mantle, with his Sister, Molly.
Oh, Malone has a wonderful idea, forming an "Angel Circle of Love" and going down to visit with Momma Carol, on her special day! I will collect Chica, also, to join us!!
Happy Happy Day, Momma!
I Love you!
Today is the "day" that Momma Carol gave to me as my "Birthday", along with Molly (398064), who is my "Twin" Sister.
It was very long ago, so Momma is not really sure of the "exact" date, so she gave us "today"! But the year is correct, anyway! MOL!
Thanks Friends, for all the nice Birthday wishes!
