More and Less of Me!

Hi My friends!
Well, by this time tomorrow, there will be a whole lot "less" of me, but its only "fur", after all, and it grows back, very long and fluffy, when the fall months come! I look like "Yosemite Sam", with my long sideburns/mustache!!!
Momma says I will look a lot "different" from the photos of me here, where I had my fur shaved, the last time. The Vet-groomer will probably cut it a lot closer, than they did before, and my tail will also have to be shaved, most likely, as it is matted and tangled, also.
Perhaps they will give me a "Lion Cut"...????
Momma PROMISES that she will start brushing me, daily. so we won't have to go through this trauma, any more!
After all, she entered a contest, here on Catster, where they gave away some free "Furminators"; a combing device to reduce loose hair and matting, and she won one (these sell where she works, for $24.99!!!)
So Momma, there's NO EXCUSE, any more!!! MOL!!!
Momma will take a BUNCH of pictures of my new 'Do, and post them here on my page!!! (Hopefully, not any embarrassing ones, of me drunk on the anaesthesia the "meds" that will knock me out, for this procedure...)
If she does, I will surely PEE on Momma's pillow!!! MOL!!!

"Doctor~Doctor"...

Hello, my Furry Friends!
Today, Sunday, Momma shoved me into the carrier, and took me to see the kitty doctor.
She gave me some excuse about me needing to have some "shots", or something...all because she wants to get my fur clipped, and the groomers now require proof of Rabies vaccination, and of "other" vaccines, to prevent any cross-contamination, from airborne illnesses...
I know she is "right", but these visits always stress me, its been a very LONG time, since I have been to see a Vet...Momma Carol has had me since 2004, and my former owners most likely did the visits to the vets with me, since I am spayed and also de-clawed...But its still been very long ago...
The Doctor found some funny things, in my ears; she called them "mites", and said they are fairly "common" with kitties, (Momma already knew this fact) but then the Dr. also saw that one of my teeth was a little "ugly", and may need to be pulled...(Yikes!!!)
So the vet poked me with a thermometer, in my "personal" place (EXIT ONLY, Please!!!) and then they washed out my ears, and stuck me with sharp-pointy things, and pronounced me to be in pretty good health, over-all.
I was not either over or under-weight, and my heart and lungs sounded very good.
So now, Momma just has to take me back there, on Wednesday, for my grooming session. She says I will get to take a nice little "nap", for this, and when I wake up, I will be "half" the kitty I am now!!
(MOL! The lady said I weighed less than I looked, that I am "all fur"!!!)
With the carrier, I weighed-in at 12-1/2 pounds.
And best of all, I will be very COMFORTABLE, this summer, when it gets very hot, here in the desert. I will look just like the other kitties here, with "short" fur.
Oh, and best of all, Momma enrolled me in a "Wellness Program", which will keep me healthy, over-all, and cost Momma a lot less; she saved around $150, just with today's visit!
Now Momma is going to the vet's website, to fill out a short survey, about how nice they were to me, today!
And I was a VERY GOOD GIRL, and Momma got me some special Snacky~Treats, also!

I'm "trying"...

Hi Friends!
I am wishing that all of you are having a warm and happy Holiday season!
Check out the neat "Tree" that Momma's sister gave to our home!

It is a 6' carpeted "Tree", with 4 levels, as well as "ground" level. I was the first one to climb all the way to the top level, and I don't even have claws!
Momma needs to clean it up a little; she will spray it with carpet shampoo, tomorrow, in the daytime, as there is not very much lighting, in the front room, and then vacuum all the dirt away (it had been stored out on Auntie Debbie's back porch, where it got very dusty and dirty...)
But we all think its really a neat place to hang out; Junior is the only one who really has not seen it yet...*He had an hour's chance to come down from the bedroom closet, last night, but did not choose to do so. (Uno still chases him, I think that Smudge has told him that its the "thing" he MUST do, since she does it, Uno does not know any better, since his Smudge has done this since he was born...)
But Hannah knows about it, because she used to play on it, with Clancy, her former Pal...
But back to the subject line, I have been really "good", and have not Peed on the bedding, lately. I even get to sleep up on a pillow, right next to Momma. I wake her up, for my treats, and I am the one "responsible" for getting Momma out of bed, in the mornings, around 6am, to feed us all!

PS, Momma says I may have to get "shaved" around Christmas, when her SS $ comes; I had an "accident", and my fur is very "stinky", and I have a few new matts, again. Momma does not want to do this in the middle of winter, but she has a "jacket" that I can wear, to stay warm...

Momma's Special Day!

Today, Momma Carol is celebrating her Birthday!
She is relaxing here on Catster, with all of her pretty Kitties, both Earth-bound, and Angels!
She is enjoying some Tostitos with Mango-Peach Salsa!!
Later, I will lay on her chest, and purr a lot, and nuzzle her!

Long~Time~No~Diary!

Hi, to all of my Pals!
Well, alot has been happening here, lately, I have noticed that Momma has been rather "upset", lately...She is facing having to move to another home place, and was very worried about having to rehome all of us kitties.
Her wonderful younger sister is working on helping her find a place, where she lives, that is inexpensive and allows pets.
Momma was especially worried about me, because I am a "Special~Needs" Kitty, being declawed, and having been abandoned, once before.
Momma has been working very hard, to make me into a loveable, Happy Kitty,; I used to have a very bad "Pee" problem, and now I hardly never make a "Mistake". Momma praises me alot, and makes me feel like I am the most "Important" Kitty, ever! I am so proud of myself! And I really like the Snacky~Treats that Momma gives me, when I do a "Good Job"! ;)
Also in Momma's worries, were her 15 yr old Kitty, "Casper" (398897) and Chloe, who is 10 (398016). And I would be so unhappy, if I didn't have my best Friend, Junior, around. He plays with me gently, knowing I have no claws, and he understands me!
Thanks Momma, I sure hope all of this works out, for all of us!

Cinnamon!

Hi Pals!
This morning, I discovered something Yummy!
Momma was eating some little cinnamon donuts, and I pushed my way in, and tried to gobble one up!
Momma had to be cautious, though,because she does not know if Cinnamon is "good" for Kitties, or not...
OOh! Junior just jumped onto my back, and the fight is on!! Hee~Hee! All he gets, is a mouthful of fur!!!

Ouchie!!!!

Hello, all my Himmie Friends, and "regular" Kitty Friends, also!
Well, as all Himmies know, our fur gets very "matted" during the warmer months, and this year, mine got really badly clumped..:(
My Momma usually uses the electric clippers, to clean me up, but this year I was very matted along my flanks and Butt and she was trying to clip it a little shorter, with some scissors, and she accidently clipped my skin, along with the fur that was so close to it. I BIT her, because she HURT me! (Do unto others...???)
Momma is very, very, VERY sorry she did this. Now I am licking this owie, because it is bleeding a little, but not too badly. Momma gave me some extra treats. I am lucky that my Momma cares enuff to want to make the fur matts go away, but I will NOT let her even "close" to the one near my butt!!! Only if she promises to use the scissors that have the "round" tips... I will feel better, in a while, but right now, my side "stings" a little...:((
