My Special Day!

Hi All!
Momma's laptop has he "hiccups", sometimes certain letters will not work, then when they do, they have about 10 of them!
Anyhoo, I just wanted to say a very Happy Birthday to Momma's older sister, "Lanny". who is here at the Rainbow Bridge, with all of her Pups. (She came here in 2005)
She and I share the same Birthdate, as Momma got me in the middle of November, 1993, so she counted backwards, and figured that I was born around the same day (October 18) so she honored her sister, by giving me the same Birthday!
So I will find my Daddy~John (he is also here, since 2006) and find Lanny, and wish her a belated Birthday wish!

Today, Sept 11, 1949, at 2:30pm, Momma Carol was born! She is relaxing today, and here with all of us Kitties and Angels, giving us Snacky-Treats, and just having a relaxing day. I will fly down and give her Whisker-Kisses!!

My Bridge Anniversary

Hello, Friends,
I am looking down on Momma, who is feeling kind of "blue" today...
Even though it was actually the date of Sept 6, it was on Labor Day, 2010, that I had to make the long journey to the Rainbow Bridge. I was 17, and it was very hot, and all of the water drained from the tub (Chloe and I used to lay in there, in the water to stay cool) and I got heat stroke, and by the time Momma got home from work, I was feeling very "puny", and could not stand up.
So Momma did the best thing she could, for me...
I ask that you all go and see the poem, that is in my sister, Patches', diary, called "If it should be..."
Momma downloaded a bunch off old pictures from 2007 and 2008 onto her new laptop, and there were many of me and Chloe, when we were very healthy and fluffy. It made her eyes start "leaking"...
Momma, I will always LOVE you. Please don't be sad... We had so many wonderful years together...

Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeee!!!

Hi to all of my Good Friends, out there, here at the Bridge, and down on Earth!
Today would have been/is my 17th Birthday; Momma chose this "special Day" for two very good reasons. Firstly, it was Momma's older sister's Birthday (She is here at the Rainbow Bridge, with all of her Dogs) and secondly, it was the day that Sweet Dinky "disappeared"...she actually got me as a "gift" about a month later, but I would have been born, at approximately this day.
So Happy Birthday to Aunt Lanny, also, and hugs to my little sister, Dinky, whom I never got to meet, on Earth, but who is the "reason" that I came to live with Momma Carol and Daddy~John.
Had she not been at the "Cat Clinic", on the day she was, she never would have talked to the nice Lady Vet, who found me a "Forever Home", with Momma.

I must admit, I was such a little "Brat", when I first met Momma; I hissed at her, and ran away, and Momma said it was a "Match made in Heaven"! Daddy~John laughed at me and said "what the heck is "that" and nicknamed me "Butthead", on the very first day!

You see, I had been brought in to be euthanized, as a kitten, because I had Ringworm, which the nice Lady Vet knew was "treatable", and she refused to kill me. She knew she would find me a "Special" human to live with, and Momma has kept in touch with her, for many years, with updates and photos of me.
Momma needs, however, to write to her and tell her that I came up here, to the Rainbow Bridge, about 6 weeks ago, after a long and happy life as an "indoor" kitty...
Thanks so much to EveryBuddy who sent me nice Gifts, also!

PS, Momma decided to change my photo, to one that shows me "whole" again. I can "nap" anytime; Momma just really liked this "current" photo, because it turned out so well!

Yes, it was a difficult decision, and on our Sister-Cat, "Patches" (397879) page, there is a beautiful poem, that has to do with the subject at hand.
If you would just take a "moment", and go there and read it, I am sure you will feel the same way, should you ever be faced with this difficult decision. The Poem "helps" one to know how it feels, from the Pet's point of view...

"To Sleep, perchance to Dream..."

Hello my Friends,
Today, I went on a "New" and long Adventure...
IAs you know, I had not been "well", lately, and yesterday, I had a seizure, which made me feel very badly, and it hurt to breathe, and I could no longer walk.
Momma had to make the very "difficult decision", this morning, and I went to a place, where they helped me to "sleep", and I had many dreams, when I went to sleep. The last thing I remember, was that Momma was holding me and her eyes were leaking, and them I felt very "peaceful" and did not hurt any longer.
When I woke up, I could see Momma still, but she was far "below" me, and she looked very sad, and I looked around, and saw beautiful Rainbows, and many Kitties and Pups, and other animals all playing together
And my body was back "Whole" and nothing hurt any more.
I will come to Momma tonight, and touch her face, while she sleeps, and she will know that I am "OK", and that she did the "right thing" by doing what she did.And I even found Daddy~John, and Patches there, also! What Fun! There are no "strangers", at the Rainbow Bridge...
Momma has to go now, and she is going to help me to join some very Special and "Elite" Groups!

So Tired...

Hi Friends,
I just wanted to stop by, and let you all know that I am still "Hanging-in-there", and Momma counts every minute that I am alive, as a Blessing from Ceiling Cat, (I just woke up and looked at Momma, I knew she was typing this note for me.)
I am almost 17, now, and I have been losing weight, and my fur looks very "tatty", but that is because I spend a lot of time, cooling off in the bathtub, along with Chloe. Then, my fur just dries on its own, instead of being blown-dry, so its not so "fluffy" any more.
I just wanted to send out a message of LOVE to my Sweetheart, Sami, to let her know that I dream of her all the time, and even if I go to the Bridge soon, she will always be in my Heart.
(Momma's eyes are leaking...:( )
I sleep next to Momma, at night, and during the days, I share the Cooler-pack with Moochy, it sure feels good, and eases my pain.
Well, Momma and I are going to bed, now, she has to work, in the morning.

Summertime in the Desert...

Hello, friends; I apologize for not getting in touch sooner, but we have had a really rough time, so far, this summer.
The weather here has been horribly warm, like it got up to 119, a few weeks back.
The swamp cooler is not working at all, and Momma has to rely on fans and a portable evap cooler, to at least keep the air moving, and then Momma keeps plenty of Blue Ice coolers and frozen water bottles.
Chloe and I have even gone against the "Cardinal Law" for Cats, to be afraid of water. We ask Momma to put some cool water in the bathtub, and then we go and lay in it, to stay cool, And we get a "bath" at the same time!
I think that I'm a pretty "Progressive-minded" Kitty, don't you agree?
Moochy is so cute, she flops down on top of the Blue Ice thingie, and sort of "hugs" it!
Nomma has lots of water dishes for us, also.

I am so Proud!!!

Hello Friends and Buds!!
I got a very nice Paw~Mail from his Highness, Sir Navin Himself (Of Navin and Buds Group), informing me that I had been chosen to be the "Bud of the Week", for this week.
Momma gave me extra Treats and my favorite, Imperial margarine, and she kept kissing me on top of my "Pointy" head...
So I shall bask in the "Glory" and the sunshine, for this week, and have this Honor forever listed on my page!
