Back from the vet

Hi Everyone,

Well, the visit wasn't what I expected. When I first got there, everyone was facinated with me. They had never seen a European Burmese before, and thought I was sooooooooooooooooooo cute and snuggly and sweet (which I am), and one of the vet techs decided to take me out of my carrier and snuggle me, which I really liked. Then a family with 2 kids came, and the little daughter thought I was like a toy, and stuck her hand in my carrier. I didn't mind, I like attention, but Mom told her to let me smell her hand first. Then, a lady and her two "Yorkies" came in, and they ran around the waiting room. One kept saying "hello" to me. They were a little bigger than me, but smaller than Timmy. I wonder what they were? Mom says they're dogs. I'm not so sure!

Anyway, the doctor called us into the exam room, and let me out of hte carrier. Then, the male vet tech scooped me up and they looked at my eyes, in my mouth, in my ears... then, the REAL violation began. They stuck a thing in my bum! They said they wanted to take my temperature! After, they kept trying to put a NEEDLE in my arm! so THAT"S what a shot is!!! They're awful! I can't believe Timmy likes to go to the vet! They tried to give me the yummy kitty treats that Timmy told me about but I was so upset I couldn't eat them, and then they gave me a mousie doll that came home with me, but I want no part of it. It reminds me of the shot. They found out that I have a slight but very minor heart murmur, which I should grow out of, and that as Mom suspected, a mild upper respiratory infection. I get to take Amoxi-Drops with yogurt!!! YAY!! it's soooooooooooooo yummy!!!!!!! I like medicine time!

Well, I'm getting sleepy and I know Mom is too, so we're going to go to bed. Nighty night, everyone!

Love,

Bailey Boy :)

Going to the Vet

Hi Everyone,

My mom has been telling me for a few days now, that I'm going to the vet! I went to the vet once, when I was still with my brothers and sisters, and my brothers and I were brought to get "neutered." I don't remember very much about the experience, except that my brother George cried in the car. I wonder what's going to happen at the vet? I've been sneezing a lot, and mom says I need more shots. What's a shot? Have I had it before? Do I like it? I hope it's not scary. Mom says I've had shots before, but she doesn't know
what happened, because it was at our breeder's. Frankly, I'm a little nervous about the whole thing, but since Mom's going to be there, I think I'll be fine. Timmy has been telling me about the vet's office. He's been there twice; once for his "I've been adopted from the Humane Society, well kitty checkup," and once just before I came home to get his nails cut. He won't let Mom cut his nails, but I do. He says the people at the vet's are super nice, and he loves the vet tech. He said our vet gave him lots of "good kitty" treats and that she kept shoveling them in his mouth, and that they tasted extra yummy! I wonder if she'll give me the extra yummy treats, too?

I'll write more after my visit to let everyone know what happened.

Kitty kisses,

Bailey Boy

I'm all settled in!

Hi everyone,

I've been living here for 3 weeks now, and I'm completely settled in! I love Timmy soooooooo much, and I've gained enough confidence to initiate play with him! We're inseperable and love to snuggle. I'm not too sure why he won't let me suckle though... my littermates and I always used to do that, because our mommy was in heat and our breeder wouldn't let us nurse when Mommy was in heat. My sisters got very sick from the heat-milk, but they recovered :)

So much to say, so sleepy... Oh, Mom went to another cat show yesterday and brought back a ton of peacock feathers! She got the good kind that are very long. Timmy and I love to chew on the shafts, they're so crunchy and crispy :) We don't eat them though. At the cat show, Mom met the human mom of my uncle Zen! Zen is Mommy's brother. He wasn't there, but his adopted little sister Sabrina, a blue tortie, was there being shown. She's about a week older than I am, and looks like Mini-Mommy. My biological Mommy is a blue tortie; sooooo beautiful :) Mom says I kind of look like her, but I'm red, of course. She says she can see Mommy in my face and body. She also saw Maryellen, our breeder!!!! Yay!!! She was so excited to see her and gave her a report about how I'm doing. I sneeze a lot but I have no boogers, so we're not sure what's up with that. I'll be going to the vet in about 2 weeks for my shots, so we'll find out then. I'm completely healthy otherwise, I eat like a pig (so Mom says), drink my water, and play a LOT.

Oh, this past week, we had a houseguest! My mom's aunt! She's a super-nice lady who loves kitties to pieces and has a Siamese named ChiChi. She's had lots and lots of kitties, so she knows a lot about kitty psychology and said Timmy and I are a GREAT match. We know that :) She also has a fantastic lap to sit in, and gives good skritchees. She left on Friday. I miss her, but know she needs to get back to ChiChi.

Well, it's time for bed, Mom wants me to log off so that she can turn off the computer and go to sleep. She has to wake up to go to work :( I wish she could stay home with me and Timmy, but she says she needs to make money in order to pay the vet, buy us food and toys, and other things.

Kitty hugs,

Bailey Boy :)

PS: Yay for Timmy! Yay for Bailey! Yay for Iams canned kitten food! Yay for Purina ONE crunchy kitten food! Yay for my faceless mousie! Yay for my Mom!

Hi Everyone,

I've been here for two whole weeks today! YAY! Timmy and I are really getting along very well, and yesterday, we were left home all by ourselves for almost 2 hours! YAY! We were good kittyboys and didn't do anything naughty.

Timmy and I love to chase each other, wrestle, touch noses and say "I love you," and lots of other fun kitty stuff. We love each other so much and Timmy told me that he doesn't know how he got along without me!

Our other favorite thing to do is to sit in the bathtub and drink from the tap together :)

I really enjoy both the computer and the tv. Right now, I'm in Mom's left arm so she can't type with one hand very well, and she;s telling me to wrap it up.

More later!

Kitty kisses,

Bailey Boy :)

Hi Everyone,

My name is E-Burm's Bailey, but you can call me Bailey, or Bailey Boy. My mom also likes to call me "teeny-tiny," because I'm so cute and tiny. 3442qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqggggh.

Oh, btw, I really love the computer and I typed that. Anyway, I'm full of energy, and full of fun, and I love to play with my big brother, Timmy! YAY for Timmy! Mom didn't think things were working out between us on Monday night and got scared that Timmy would hurt me, so in frustration, she put Timmy up for adoption on here (don't tell him I know). Everything's getting better, so she took that down. I'm teaching Timmy how to do lots of important things, like sitting on people's laps and enjoying the comfort of the furniture (beds and couches) where our people are. See, I HAVE to sleep with people. It's part of what my breed does. I also HAVE to sit on people. Again, it's what my breed does. Timmy wasn't socialized properly when he was my age, and he doesn't understand that furniture and people are to be enjoyed by kitties! I also teach Timmy how to have proper litter box ettiquette. He doesn't cover his pee, so I cover it for him, and he watches. Maybe he'll get it.

I have so much to say, but Mom says that because I typed a lot here, we'll have to have another entry tomorrow or later.

As Timmy says: "Yay for Timmy! Yay for Bailey!"

More later,

Bailey Boy
