indoors Arrival Story: I wanted a brown tabby when I graduated from college. I am pretty connected with a few rescue groups in the area, so I told them to keep an ear out for any kittens that were DSH, male, brown tabby. I had a perfect one waiting for me, but the rescue decided to keep him instead. She didn't tell me this for a few weeks, though so all the time I just sat there wondering what was going on. Then another one came in. I wasn't told much about him, just that he and his littermate were left to fend for themselves when their mom was hit by a car. I was told to meet the foster mom at the pet store and I could take him home that day. Cool!
Well, I got to the pet store and I opened the carrier. Two little white feet popped out. Um, that's not what I wanted! I wanted an all brown tabby, not a brown and white one... ok well, let's see what he looks like.Um, he's all fuzzy! I wanted a shorthaired one! He's also a little older than I wanted, he smells bad, and he won't stop crying!
I walked around the store with him for about 10 minutes. I told my friend that this was not at all what I was hoping for and that I really would like a short haired cat at the very least. But, I ended up feeling bad for him and the foster parents, so I took him home to give it a try.
I absolutely love this cat!!! He is the most perfect cat in the world for me. While it may not have been love at first sight exactly, Ever since I got him, I could not have asked for a more awesome critter. He loves me and we have a great connection. Whenever I go on trips, he is always the first one to greet me and he misses me more than my dogs do. He talks a lot, and is really a bit of a trouble maker, but I wouldn't have him any other way. Bio: Echo's a very intelligent and talkative kitty. I dabbled in clicker training with him and he learned a few tricks. He learned them faster than my shepherd that I tried to clicker train! I grew a little bored with the training though, so we stopped. Lives Remaining: 8 of 9 Forums Motto: Vote For Me as Coolest Yawning Cat!
