While we had Bigfoot at the vet, we saw a litter of kittens in another room. We were told they'd be available for adoption in a week, so I came back to get 2. I picked Peapod because he had a shaved area on his neck to tell him apart from the other male. We named him Zaphod after the Hitchhiker's Guide character. My young cousin, Jimmy, couldn't remember Zaphod, and called him Gonad and all sorts of things. Daddy just once called him Peapod, and it stuck. Now he is Mommy's special little boy, and the light of our lives, along with his sister.
