Arrival Story:
I found him on the street, run over by a car with his tail flat and his pelvis fractured. After taking him to an emergency veteranary clinic, and receiving surgery, they suggested I keep him, and I took him in.

It is most likely that he is Harry's son, and lived on the streets for the first year of his life.

Sad News

This is Sarel's Mom, and I am quite sad to report that Sarel died yesterday, on 7/11/09. He had emergency surgery on Friday to attempt to clear a blockage of his colon and bladder, and the surgery was not enough. He had not been eating or peeing properly for a week before then.

Considering he could have died seven years ago, when I found him run over by a car, he lived a very good life in our house, and I was more than happy to do it. We will miss him.

Summer Fun

I usually prefer to stay inside and sleep, but with the beautiful weather, I have started to spend lots of time outdoors, playing in the garden and hanging out with my friends. Mom thinks it is good for me to exercise, and at the moment I agree with her.

There is a whole pile of clothing and toys piling up in one corner of the den, and Harry says that they belong to the new kitten who will coming to our house in September, G-d Willing. We get to be big brothers to a new little human, and I am going to have to work through a few issues and fears that I have to get used to the idea. Mom has already told me that I am not allowed to sleep in the basinet with the baby, but I think we will get along great anyway. When the baby gets older, I am allowed to sleep in the same bed.

Bad Timing

As opposed to Harry who spends most of his days outside and most of the night inside, I prefer it the other way around. I am lazy and sleep all day on the couch, and when the night comes I can't wait to go outside and see all my friends.

This plan of mine backfired last night, when I forgot the big storm starting this weekend. I was outside at night when the rain came, and had to find a dry place, or at least relatively dry. As soon as Mom woke up this morning to bring in the paper, I begged to be let inside, and have not left all day.
