indoors Arrival Story: After we put down my cat Frizbee in April me and my sister started to miss haveing a cat around so we started our plan to get a new one. In July we gave our parents a proposle, we buy and take care of the new cat. They agreed and we started looking. I went to the local SPCA's website and listed all the young cats. My sister fell in love with Kado's colours. She loves orange tabbies and his eyes were a bonus. I didn't like him at first I was more intrested in a blue eyed white cat named Jack frost, but he got adopted so I agreed to give Kato (as he was called) a chance.We went and checked out all the cats but Kado suited us best. Within a week of first seeing him on the site he was in our house and trying to settle in. We almost didn't get him though a lady was filling out papers for him at the same time my mom was, if we had gone even 10 seconds later she would have gotten him. About 2 days after getting him we went back to the spca to check if I'd left my wallet there. While my mom was talking to one of the ladies that worked there I heard the lady behind us say "They're the family that got Kato" I turned around to find the whole room staring at me. Turns out every one who was there had wanted Kado and the lady who worked there said they were still getting calls from people wanting to adopt Kado. I told my mom we won the cat lottery. Bio: We got Kado on July 7, 2006. He is an great cat, and he loves people. Every one who meets him wants to take him home. My friend even jokes around and says that her and Kado are going to get married. Kado loves to escape through the second floor bathroom window by jumping to the deck and when ever I pack to go camping he lays in my bag and packs his toy mouse. Kado original name was Kato (Ka-toe) but we didn't like it so we changed it to Kado (Kay-Doe) which comes from the latin word caedo-to kill and also from the dutch word Kado meaning gift. My family informed me today that they're going on a trip in July and that I'll have to go to a cattery for the week. Apparently 2 dogs and 2 cats is too much for the pet sitter, me and Oddy drew the short stick this time. Me and Oddy in one room for a week....It's going to be torture. My sis says I complain to much and that I'll be fine. I'd like to see her spend a week alone with Oddy...then again Oddy likes her and doesn't use her as a play toy. Anyway I guess I don't have much of a choice and I'll get back at them when they get back from their trip >:3
It's been a while since I made sis write a journal for me so I'm going to make this point form.
- Oddy is still annoying
- Hawkeye is still annoying
- Annie is still weird
- I love the food I'm eating, but I'm going to the vets on Monday so I don't know how much longer I'll be on this food
- I got lots of treats for Christmas
- I've lost some weight
Well I think that's all. I'll have to get sis to update for me more often
Well most people don't know I left, but I had to go in for emergency surgery to remove a crystal yesterday and I'm back and healthy :3
It really sucked I couldn't before the surgery cause the crystal was messing me up, luckily my sis's noticed. I also got to see Annie while I was there and she came home today too. Well, I'm off to go relax and eat some of my new food. Bye!
