Arrival Story:
We had one cat, Bella - your classic calico. We thought she needed a companion, but little did we know, she did NOT agree. We went to Tree House Animal Foundation, a cageless, no-kill cat shelter in Chicago, and I fell instantly in love with him. I saw him walking around the shelter with NO EYES, picked him up and he started batting at my hair. Tears spilling down my cheeks, I asked if we could adopt him.

Bio:
Auggie, formerly Belfry, had microphthalmia as a kitten. This condition meant his eyes never fully developed and were constantly getting infected. Therefore, his eyes were surgically removed to save his life and now he is blind. But you'd never know it, the way he runs around our house and torments his brothers and sisters.
