indoors Arrival Story: Cloe is one of six precious kitties in a liter that was left outside and unwanted- heres the whole story: We had just moved to a new state and in our new home with our dog, cat, and bird and seven days later my aunt who lived a few doors down called me at midnight and told me that her neighbors cat had babies on her (neighbors) porch. The neighbor didn't want the babies and didn't want her cat bringing them in the house. So I took the neighbors Momma cat and her 6 babies to our house. We also started to take care of the stray Daddy cat of the liter. A kid in the neighborhood told us that -that cat had once had owners but they moved and "forgot" to take him! ya real nice huh? ! Stray Daddy cat was so sweet! We named him Bubba he was huge and fat and just like an alley cat- he ate out of every trash can in the neighborhood- but he was homeless and lonely, so we counted him as ours too and started to take care of him also! After 5 fun months we got them spayed and nuetured (including Momma Kitty) and we gave the 6 kitties to a wonderful cat rescue who would adopt them out in pairs. We decided to keep Momma Kitty because she was kinda old and it would probaly be hard for her to get adopted, and plus, we loved her too. Momma Kitty stayed an indoor/outdoor cat the whole time and had chose to stay with us- she actually now runs from her prior owner! LOL! We also decided to keep Bubba too- he was sweeter then all of them combined! So after taking the 6 kitties to the rescue; 2 misrable days had gone by without the 6 kitties running around; We missed them all so much, the house was so empty and sad without them! So I went back to the rescue to get 2 back! Now 2 kitties (Cloe, & Sweety) had been adopted by a real nice lady , and the other 2 (Rascal, & Bubba Jr.) had been adopted by one of the cat rescue volunteers :) and now we were coming home with the other 2 (Girlie Girl, & Big Boy). It was great to have at least 2 of our babies back!! :) But 4 months later the lady who had adopted Cloe and Sweety had gotten pregnant and developed allergies to them and could no longer keep them, so now we have 2 more of our babies back home again! Our house is a zoo house and like romper room but we wouldn't have it any other way! Update: Sadly Bubba went missing one day and has not returned- in our area cat traps are put up everywhere by cat rescues because there are sooo many strays running around. These rescues spay/nueture them and place them up for adoption. I called the animal control and rescues etc. but I couldn't locate Bubba. I hope the best for him that he was trapped by a rescue and adopted somewhere- but guess we'll never know. I still hope one day to see him at our doorstep. I have heard of stories like that- cat wanders off for years then returns etc. I hope thats true for Bubba! Forums Motto: batman!
