Arrival Story:
I walked into a pet store the other day, not knowing why... and I found the most adorable little kittens. One couldn't keeps his eyes off of me and the other stayed towards the back but kept peeking at me around things. The one who seemed to recognize me... I even managed to hold for a short time. He started to purr the moment he was in my arms and I was in love. I didn't have any money on me so I went home empty handed. BUT! (this is the good part) I couldn't stop thinking about the connection I had with the little darling and how much he reminded me of my darling Mishie (9/24/1990 -6/29/06). So, I called my mom on my lunch break and she agreed. It was not too early to have another Mishka in the world. And, even better she thought she wanted the other kitten! I went back and got both of them last night. =) Now all we have to do is find a way to get the brother all the way to Wisconsin from Nevada!

Mishka III is now the third (obviously) Mishka to grace our family. My Mishie was actually number two. He was named for a cat we'd had when I was little. She used to lick tears off your face when you were sad. Now in turn, as he was born only weeks after my beloved was allowed to go peacefully, I have named my new kitten in honor of that love we shared. We are still discovering all our likes and dislikes so I'll fill you in when I know! Oh! Mishka III also has 7 toes on his front right paw. His brother has seven on each of his front paws. So, I've started calling them "The lucky 7's. Imagine that 3 7's between the two and IN Vegas!? I think I was meant to find them. He also has darker markings than his brother and sharper features to the face.

Hee hee!

My human, who I FINALLY got to post something here for everyone to read, took more video clips of me tonight.

You see, my brother Marmalade and I were fast asleep on her bed, when her tv program she'd been watching ended. She flipped thru channels but alas NOTHING on of interest except a Nature special on PBS. For the fun of it she decided to wake us up to show us what was going on.

She already knows we'll both watch black and white movies. Specifically "Sin City", which big brother Lupin also likes to watch! The only difference tonight is, that as much as that movie interested me I just couldn't stay awake that day. This time though, I was suddenly WIDE awake watching this momma leopard and her cubs. I snuck over to the edge of the bed and tried to calmly watch as it switched over to monkeys. But, WOW! They showed wolf cubs next and I just couldn't stop fidgetting. I hopped down and creeped over to the T.V. I got right up in their faces and meowed but NOTHING back! How rude! I walked all around the T.V. and nothing, they kept hiding from me somehow but I could still hear them! They can't fool me!

I also really wanted to play with the lion cubs and man-o-man those mongooses looked like they'd be fun to play with... really I only want to play! I'm a nice boy! Now if I could only catch one of those............
