Every morning, the furlings attack me to get me to fill up their bowls and change their water. Bond always snoodges a bite out of the scoop before I can even get the scoop out of the bin! Aurora always bops him one, but he shakes his head and digs into breakfast. While they have their breakfast, I get my shower. After I get my shower, without fail, Aurora is waiting on the edge of the sink to drink the water off of my face and arms while I brush my teeth. When my hands are dry enough, I clean her eyes. Then she sits with her back to me, facing the mirror and flattens her ears. This means that she is ready to have our special time. I pet her head, and she grunts loudly with pleasure. She flattens her ears tight against her skull, squints her eyes, and bends her head back. She only likes having her head petted. She smiles so broadly that she looks exactly like Falcor from The Neverending Story. Bond tries to get up on the sink to drink out of the faucet (he loves playing in water) but as soon as he even thinks about it, Aurora starts swatting. She smacks him hard enough to make a sound most of the time. I tell her to not be a bully, but she hits him anyway when she thinks I'm not looking. She's a funny little thing, but she is a good friend, and waking up to the three of them makes my day a little brighter.
