Likes: His breakfast early in the morning, curling up in the flower bed in the sun on a cool day
Pet-Peeves: Other cats trying to take his food, me trying to touch him
Favorite Toy: I do not think Orange has ever had a toy, but he likes to chase flying insects. I have taken catnip toys out to him, but he showed no interest. I tried to pull a toy for him and unfortunately he was afraid of it. We have to continue working on this.
Favorite Nap Spot: On the porch, window ledge or flower bed
Favorite Food: He likes most canned food
Skills: Staying safe after being on his own for so many years

Arrival Story: Like most of my babies, Orange Man came to me. He started coming up to drink from the bird bath and then he started sitting on the porch waiting to see if I would put out food. After I had been feeding him for a while, if I did not get up early enough, he found where my bedroom window was and he would jump up there and stare at me until I went out to feed him. I call him my Peeping Tom Cat.
Bio: Orange is a great little cat. He has been coming to me for about five years now. I had hoped that like Liza, after a while he would let me touch him, but it just has not happened. He will let me lightly touch his back sometimes when he is eating, but he will not let me do the things I would like to for him-put on flea treatment, clean his ears, etc. I tried to bring him inside one winter, but he was so frightened that I had to let him back out. I still hope that he will accept me one day. He does let me sit next to him and he looks at me with such wise eyes and I know he understands I try to help him.
I think if he had a home where he were the only kitty, with someone patient with him, he might eventually accept love.

Wow, for being feral and no soft bed to curl up in with a momma and not letting people touch me, I am so happy to have so many friends on Catster.

Mom is going to try to think of facts for everyone, but we will start here.

1. I am an Orange Manx Male.
2. I am feral.
3. I have a mom (sort of). She feeds me and cares for me, but I do not like her touching me.
4. Mom trapped me last winter because I had been in a fight and got a horrible abscess on my face.
5. Mom was afraid that I would throw a fit at the vet and they would have to make me sleepy to look at my face, but I was too scared to move.
6. Mom trapped me again in the spring and took me back to get vaccines and "fixed". thanks a lot mom.
7. I like to look in the window at mom when I am hungry. She calls me her Peeping Tom Cat.
