Arrival Story:
One of our donors saw Tush, with goopy eyes, tail hanging down & butt tucked, and called him Tushy Magoo. She trapped him, thinking he was feral, and tried to get him vet care. (This was who we called his Fairy God-Mother). He was diagnosed with FIV. She called us, and we had only two other FIV cats at the time, so we said we would take him. I didn't think he was feral, and so I stuck my hand in the cage, and he bumped his head on my hand in hello. He became my buddy, my absolute love. His "Fairy God-Mother" continued to help support Tush financially. He had quite a lot of medical needs.

Bio:
Now more about Tush. He had a 22 gauge bullet lodged in his cheek, part of his nose gone from where the bullet hit, plus he had FIV, went into early stages of kidney failure, and had hemobartonella. He was a real SURVIVOR. He lived 5 years with us, and although I've listed him as 13, I really believe he was closer to 15 when he died. He was an amazing cat, who ruled the FIV space with absolute grace. My life revolved around him more than I realized. Every hour of the day was marked by when Tush needed something. We just lost him this year, and the other cats really don't know what to do with themselves either now that he's gone. The first picture is of Tush before the kidney failure. Over the years, he lost half his weight, but he still had all of his heart and soul until the very end. You can see Tush's other buddies on the special needs cat adoption pages of www.hollys.org

Before requesting me as a friend, you should know that our family is very pro-rescue and pro-spay/neuter. My mommy runs an animal rescue (www.hollys.org), so it is important that only people who are friendly to that are on our friends list. Thank you for understanding!
