Arrival Story:
When I was just a kitten I was adopted by a girl who was still in college. For a couple of years it was just the 2 of us and that was great! But then she got married and they adopted Max, who I have learned to tolerate. I didn't really like sharing the attention. And a few years after that things really started to go down hill when they had a couple of kids. I got even less attention after that, and I didn't really want it from the kids, they were so noisy. Anyway, my family was building a new house and had to rent an apartment that didn't allow cats (can you imagine?) so I went to stay with my uncle, but he wasn't a big fan of fur, he said that he knew this girl who just loved cats so much that I would be happier staying with her until the house was finished. Well she just loved me so much that she didn't want to give me back and I didn't want to leave either. She really trys to spoil me rotten and does a pretty good job of it too. Luckily my old mom agreed. She said she would miss me, but knew it was the right thing to do. So thats where I happily lived out my golden years from January 2003 until December 2008 when I left for the bridge at 17 years of age.

My sweet baby Patches,

I already miss you and honestly don't know what I am going to do without you. I am so thankful for every minute I got to spend with you but wish there could have been a million more. You were such a sweet and wonderful kitty, I often asked myself what I did to deserve you.... I am so sorry you were sick for so long. I tried my best to take good care of you and give you the royal treatment you so deserved. I really hope that I was able to make you as happy as you made me. You have been such a comfort to me over the past 6 years and I feel so blessed and lucky that you came into my life. I will think of you often pretty Patches. I hope you know how much I love you and always will. Please wait for me at the bridge, precious girl.

This is a special Tail of Devotion

My mom gave me a bath last night!! I have IBD which can be a very messy disease but I was still horrified. I mean I am a cat afterall, we know how to bathe ourselves. I made sure to let her know how I felt about it with really loud screaming meows. I will say though, it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be and she was quick about it. But I had to forgive her immediately when it was over, because she had a nice warm towel for me, straight out of the dryer. I curled up on her lap and took a nap. I guess baths aren't so bad afterall. That being said, I could do without one for another 16 years!

I've been tagged by Furman Dexter Baggins.

Here are seven interesting facts about me.

1) Sometimes when I meow I don't make any sound at all and other times I have a very dramatic meow.
2) I have yet to try a food I do not like, although you would never guess it by my petite stature. I also eat any leftovers Max might leave.
3) I may look sweet and innocent (and I am most of the time) but I have been known to strike fear into the hearts of more than a few vet techs. There was one girl inparticular that I had to do a little re-arranging of her facial features after she poked at me 1 too many times.
4) I love to go outside and bask in the sun.
5) I like to tickle my mom's face with my whiskers when she is sleeping and sometimes I chew on her hair too.
6) I pick at the floor around the water cup when I am drinking from it.
7) My cheeks are stained a yellowy/orange color from this awful medicine I have to take twice a day. When my mom tries to give it to me I like to turn my head so she misses my mouth. It would be better if she didn't hit my face, but I figure wearing it is better than tasting it!
