Arrival Story:
Well, one lucky evening, Lucky came strolling into our driveway while my husband was outside. He was so friendly! And the little guy was so skinny, so we got him some food and he gobbled it up like there was no tomorrow!! Well, he kept coming back each evening--of course--he was a hungry bugger! Lucky was flea infested and had a pretty bad skin irritation. And, he also only had three legs. We couldn't imagine why this little guy was outside?? no collar and it appeared to us that no one was caring for him properly. We wanted to take him to the vet, but despite the fact that we gated him in our back yard, he would leave while we were asleep. Finally, he decided to spend the night. He spent all day with me and I took him to the vet! 9/19 It turns out that there are no major issues--so we brought him into our nice warm home!

9/20 It is Lucky's first day with us and so far, so good! He is currently secluded from Cali and Leo for the next day or so...will keep an update!!
9/25 Lucky's real mommy came today to pick him up :( His real name is Baily. They live down the street--the lady said they were on vacation and he must have gotten out, but we don't really believe that due to the condition that he was in---they must have been gone a long time!! Well, Perhaps it is true---We can only hope that he get's cared for properly and that they don't let the poor guy out to get lost and get his fleas and skin infection back!! We will be keeping a close eye out. We are feeling very sad now that he is gone though. He was beginning to feel like one of our own. Best wishes to you Lucky xoxoxo
