I knew this day would come- when my babies leave the nest. Already, Izzy and Meredith have gone to new homes. Izzy went to Baton Rouge and Meredith to Metarie.
I still have Bailey, Yang, George and Burke to keep me company. They are so active! My mommy got them some catnip mice today and they loved them- tossing and throwing them about. Another favorite toy is a pipecleaner shaped like a spring. Those are great fun. And there is always the bathtub- they love the water.

I had to change my primary photo so everyone can see how much my babies have grown..
They run everywhere! I can't even get a rest on the cat tree anymore- as you can see, they can climb right up after me...

I have been so busy, I haven't had time to post.
My babies are growing so quickly I can barely keep up. They are starting to run and play. Meredith tried to climb out of our sleeping area- almost made it but Izzy pulled her back in to safety. I think Izzy was helping her but she might have thought Meredith's tail was a toy. George is getting less shy and Bailey is very vocal and has an opinion about everything. I love Burke's coat- it is as soft as mink. Yang is beautifully spotted and is very curious. When I jump in to check on them if I am not fast, they will almost drag me down so they can nurse. It is so nice and cozy to curl up with them- everyone is quiet and sleepy and we get in a big warm pile for a nap- or two or three naps.
I finally had time to enjoy my sunbeam today - found it just where it usually is- on the carpet in the family room during the afternoon. Sammy and Lila, those annoying semi-intellient creatures, yapped and tried to move me from my lovely sunbeam but I stretched out and refused to move.

My babies are getting bigger and bigger. Burke has his eyes open and is starting to move around alot. Yang has her eyes open, too. George has one eye open. Izzy's eyes are not open but she is the best purrer of the bunch. She can even purr louder than me. Meredith can get around remarkably well but her eyes aren't open yet and she bumps her nose a lot. Bailey is very vocal...I have to feed them several times a day but I can take longer breaks now. It is nice to get out more with the rest of my family. I almost miss playing with Lila and Sammy- they are the two Yorkies that I allow to live here. Just last night, I played a round of 'get beat up and run like crazy'. This is when Lila, the female Yorkie, wants to play and runs in circles around me. I make it a point to ignore her for a moment then I l jump on her, pin her down, and kick her a bit with my back legs- no claws/soft paws, of course- I have to be nice to inferior beings. Anyway, After I 'beat' her up, I let her go and she starts all over again running in circles. I think she enjoys the game...
Be back later- time to check on my babies.

My babies are getting bigger. Burke's eyes are just starting to open. And they are starting to scoot all around. I really have to eat a lot to keep up with their big appetities.
It is so much fun watching them get bigger. One of the girls- Bailey- is really vocal. Meredith has softer markings than the others. Yang has a beautiful face and Izzy has wonderful spots. George has tons of spots! Burke is the biggest and has swirly markings- he is a marbled Bengal. He was the very first one born.

Well I finally decided it would be ok to move my babies to the cozy bed my humans made for me instead of staying in the travel kennel. It was startng to feel crowded! Now I can stretch out but I still keep my little boys and girls close.
I have been trying to think of the purrfect names. So far, I like Izzy, Bailey, Grey, and Yang for the girls and Burke and George for the boys. Maybe I will use Meredith and Kristina instead of Grey and Yang but I am not quite sure. I would love to hear name ideas from my friends.
Speaking of friends, everyone on Catster is so nice- I already have lots of new friends like Baby (I am praying for you to be happy, strong, and feel well, and I am praying for your human family, too), Snow, Bartholomew, Fiesty, Karma Kitty, Ernie, Autum, Dakota, Scaredy, Mickey J, Pumpkin, Flash, Dempsy, Jack, Rags, Spook, Sassy, Brown, Punkin Pooh, Charlie, Jacob, Dallas, Tommy, Moochie, and others....Once I learn more about Catster, I will try to leave treats for all of you. Thank you for being such friendly kitties!
Enough for now- I must clean and feed my new babies. I might even let my family take some pictures of them today.

THE BIG DAY ARRIVED!
Finally, my kittens are here after a long, hard morning. Six beautiful babies. And I even feel good enough to watch the LSU/Auburn football game with my humans AND to enjoy some special kitty treats while my babies are sleeping.
I must admit that five of my babies are beautifully spotted just like me. And I have an extra special little boy with swirly black and gold markings like marble.
And my beautiful slim waistline is back! Wonder if I can spend a couple of minutes resting on top of that warm black box now that I can fit in there again..???
Oh my babies are calling- I must go! I just love cuddling up and feeding them. So nice and warm and quiet.

I feel like I have been pregnant forever! Will I ever get back to my beautiful, slim self?
