Arrival Story:
I found him underneath my room -mates van late one night. He was so skinny and has poop all over him. I thought he was girl because he never developed down there. I named him Bunny Girl because he sort of hopped like a rabbit. I even took him to the SPCA to get spayed. I donated $50 instead of the $5 donation that was to be given to me for bringing him in to be spayed. I made the appointment and even came in early at 7am. I was to pick him up at 5:30 PM. A few minutes later, the person in which I dropped him off with came right back with the box that I brought him in. The guy then told me, we can't spay him, he is already neutered. Everyone in the office cracked up. Since he liked riding in the car and sitting on my lap as if he were driving, I decided on Toonces.
Bio:
Toonces is a $10,000 cat. His vet bills have been and continue to add up, but we love him more than any amount of money . His last operation was in July of 2004 and he might as well have gotten a sex change, although he would give me the most disgusted look if he knew I told you. He is the coolest cat ever and loves all people. You can always see his emotions on his face and lately he just looks very depressed and we can tell he is not happy. He tries to escape outside, but it's not safe for him. He has that disease where he gets crystals in his urine and he must always eat hard food with warm filtered water so that he gets plenty of water to wash through him. He is currently on a strict diet and can never have anything with magnesium.
He does run the show at our house and is extremely dominant and he makes sure that he reminds both Tonto and Blue Belle periodically that he is king of his castle. Blue Belle is kind of scared of him most of the time but we se them play every so often, he will chase her and sometimes allow her to chase him, once in a blue moon. Sometimes when we are playing fetch with Blue Belle, Toonce will get up and sit right next to what ever we threw for her and she will run up and then run around him and forget about what ever toy she was playing with. It's hard to do yogo sometimes because anything on the floor is his to lay on. If you put a yoga matt down, and he will get off anything he is on, and will want to take nap on it. And while doing yoga, if you don't pet him immediately, he nips and tries to get you off of his matt. Yoga is too strange an activity for him to do. My husband has to keep Toonces occupied with brushing and loving while I try do yoga. He also hates sports too on TV if it involves and yelling at the TV or cheering.
