Arrival Story: I had just lost my cat, PM, and I was in the process of losing Katrina. They both were very old. A friend of my ex found Tigger at the Von's dump site in San Diego. Tigger was probably about 5 or 6 weeks old. She knew that I was pretty sad about Katrina's sickness(She had heart disease), and she know that Tigger needed a home. I saw the little boy feral cat and fell in love with him. I took him home. As I cared for Katrina who mothered him a bit even in her sickness, Tigger was a wild boy. He would bite and run around the house like crazy. He was also very skinny and full of worms. We nursed him back to health, and I think he saw me as a surrogate mommy. Now he is just a little ball of love and purrs.

Bio: When my beloved Katrina died, I think she knew I would be alright now that Tigger was there. The night she died, she went under the bed which was not her nature. She always laid by my side when we went to bed. That night I woke up to find her gone. I looked for her and found her under the bed. She was panting. It looked like she was having a heart attack. I placed her on the bed knowing that it was time to let her go. It wasn't until I told her it was OK. She could go, that the light in her eyes faded. Tigger and Magnum were there by her side. She had taught Tigger to calm down and trust. She was a calming factor in his own life. I do believe she gave a part of her spirit to the little tiger, because he sleeps with me very much the way she used to, and has a lot of her gentle and persnickety ways. She was a good cat. Tigger was a part of her life and she was a part of his.
