Arrival Story:
My friend who was a dressmaker took in this adorable cat in December, little did she know that this cat was pregnant. She gave birth two two babies on Christmas eve. Piri's brother was all black, I would have liked to have him as well but my friend decided to keep him. Our orange furrball was brought home in February just before my daughter's birthday. When he was first brought home we refused to eat any cat food, he ate only salami and ham for the first month. As for his name, well we thought he was a girl, we only found out he was a boy almost two weeks after we got him when he had his first vet visit. By that point he had already known his name and responded to it so we didn't change it.

Piri was the smartest cat I have ever known. He had a way of knowing exactly what you were saying or asking. You can see in his face that he was always thinking and planning. He would open the kitchen cupboard where we kept his food and meow until you gave him a treat of some kind. I remember once when he escaped for a neighborhood jaunts, after searching for hours in the dark with flashlights, calling out to him, we gave up and went home. He was waiting for us on the patio step when we got up as though nothing had happened. My daughter picked him up, took him to her room crying and gave him a little talking to, well he didn't really like that so he boxed her in the face. She stopped crying and they cuddled on the bed together. They understood each other very well, she stopped worrying so much afterwards when he would escape, such a clever kitty, I still can't believe he was able to pull that glass patio door open with his paw! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My darling Piri, how I miss you so much (your human sister misses you a bunch too) you were our first bundle of fur and we cannot wait to see you again 1979-1997
