Black and White

Being petted & loved is the BEST.

When "mommy" spends too much time on the computer or eats delicious-smelling food & won't share.

Favorite Toy:
The ever intriguing & exciting feather toy! MEOW! Trying to grab hold of "mom's" nose is alway fun, too. And I can't forget SHOPPING BAGS!!

Favorite Nap Spot:
The big wicker chair, "mom's" bed, under the computer desk & the couch. Heck, napping is good ANYWHERE!

Favorite Food:
Science Diet wet food is the morning treat!

I'm the kitty snooze alarm! Waking "mom" up every 15 minutes until she gets finally gets out of bed is super-fun!

Arrival Story:
My "mommy's" family usually had cats before while she was growing up, but she never had one after moving out on her own. Her friend Elysa (Mommy of Jake & Harry & the late Alexis) kept telling her she needed one & what great company they were and how they could make you feel so much better when you were stressed or sad ("mommy" was having a real rough time). She finally decided she wanted a kitty & called Elysa to go to Petsmart with her. The Cat Adoption Team had so many cute kitties! "Mom" looked at them all & liked the two brothers & the older longhair girl cat. My cage was last in line & when she got to it, I gave her my best "I'm YOUR cat" look. And she fell for it! MEOW! We bonded at that moment & when she read that I'd been rescued from the death row at the county shelter, she started to cry because she loved me already and that made her sad. And then she thought that maybe we could rescue each other! So she brought me home & we started having fun right away. I wasn't scared at all & didn't even hide under the bed or anything! Of course, I did let her know right away that I was the new king of the apartment by pouncing in her chest when she was in bed & looking down at her regally.

Everyone says how beautiful I am. My fur is very pretty & soft & shiny. I'm very sweet & well-behaved, too (except once in a while I do like to jump on the counter when I think nobody is watching. But I do get right down when I am told). I like to watch the birds fly by the balcony & that squirrel who climbs up here, just drives me NUTS! He taunts me on purpose, I know he does.

It's Been A While

Meow! I haven't made an update in so long. But that's ok, I have been busy living a great life here with my human mom. She takes really good care of me & I take really good care of her back! She's been really sad lately because her mom passed away unexpectedly earlier this month. I've been comforting her SO much. She told me she feels better when I curl up by her & purr like crazy. I like that I can help her.

Other than that I have been up to the usual, watching those crazy birds & geese outside, eating, napping, licking myself. Sometimes when the weather is nice I get to go out on the balcony & the other day a squirrel was climbing down from the roof & didn't see me & I almost caught him! I am a mighty hunter, that is for sure.

Finally An Update

Hi, there! I am back here making an entry after a long time. I kept meaning to before, but every time I got near the computer, "mom" was on it & well, heck, I just would rather curl up on her lap & make her pet me instead.

Last Saturday I had to go to this place called "the vet's office." "Mom" and I rode in the car there with her sister & my cousin, Irish Rainbow. That was the first time I met my cousin, and I must say, she did not seem very pleased to meet me. She even hissed at me a few times! Meanwhile, I was nicely curled up in my carrier enjoying the motion of the car. When we got there, it my my turn to be upset, because I had to get a shot! I didn't like that AT ALL. But before long, we had a nice car ride back home. I walked around the apartment to make sure nothing had changed while we were gone & settled right back in.

I must brag right now about one of my more clever traits. I am the Kitty Alarm Clock. Every morning, I wake "mom" up just before the radio starts playing. I like to jump on her as I go from one side of the bed to the other. She makes a fun springboard. I am happy she is done working all that overtime & is home more so we can play. I try to purr extra loud so she knows I am happy.

Hmmm, I think it must be time to eat, nap or lick myself now. I will talk to you later!

I'm So Loveable

I love my human mom so much. It's so nice when she comes home from work & she lays down on the floor & pets me sooooooo much. I stretch out as far as I can & wait for her to rub my tummy. I wish she didn't have to go away to that place called "work." I miss her when she is gone. But she tells me it helps her make money to buy me delicious food & new feather toys.

I see it is almost dark, so I need to go take my accustomed spot by the balcony door to watch what happens around here at night. Human beings miss so much by not having "cat vision!"
