Mom: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWIFFER!!!! When we found you last year, the vet chose the 1st of June as your birthday, so today we will give you a party!
What would you like?

Swiffer: I would like to sleep a lot today, because it's a little cold and rainy, and I love to stretch out on your bed or in my sister's bed beside her.

Mom: ok, and what else?

Swiffer: I would like you to pet me a lot, before I take my afternoon nap, under my chin, on my white belly, I'm a little fat did you notice?

Mom: But isn't there anything special for today you wish?

Swiffer: I really think I have everything, you gave me a little brother (Casper) to play with, food enough, love an lots of it from everyone in the family, so..what else should I need? Will you let me out today on the stairways just to go up and down smelling everyone's front door carpet!!! You know I hate the street, I just want to stroll up and down..

Mom: ok, just for today, because I don't think our next door neighboors would like that!
Anyway, happy birthday dear dear softest cutest thing, you are the best good kitty we ever hoped to get, I hope you will stay very long with us, we need you as we hope you need our love! *smoochy smoochy scratch scratch*

1. I love to sleep in my human sister's bed, and be petted all the time
2. Every 2-3 days I vomit my furr balls (yeuch) around the house.
3. I'm afraid of my human dad, he doesn't understand why I keep my eyes away and my ears down when he takes me in his arms.
4. I don't run or move unless it's strictly NECESSARY. But when I'm hungry I walk gorgeously waving my tail like a live snake to say I deserve good food!
5. I often eat and drink with my paws.
6. I never cover up my poo, I'm afraid to dirty my paws, cause when I was little I used to.. That's why I scratch the floor when I'm done, until someone comes to clean up.
7. I always slip out of the appartment when the door opens, but I don't want to get really outside, just want to wander up and down the stairways..

lazy bum..

Mom says I'm such a lazy cat. I like to play but I won't run as Casper does. He's the active one. Why should I care, it Casper does the work for me?

She just put a new one on my page, see how cute I was when I was a kitty. I love her so much!
Well, this is her the first time she's doing this, so it's not much of a masterpiece, well..just take it as it is! :-)

Do I snore?

Hey, why does everybody say I snore when sleeping?? I do, maybe but it's all Casper's fault!! He's always sleeping on my neck..
By the way, HE SLEEPS WITH HIS TONGUE STICKING OUT SOMETIMES..HAHA
Tonight my human brother Loris slept in the big bed with OUR parents.
So this morning I woke him up with a good grooming in his hair..what a wierd animal with fur only on top.. Anyway, he liked it cause when I licked his front, he gave me a big hug..
Mom's hair is too long, anyway, it gets in my mouth and chokes me...
Last night I looked like her headphones..lying on her pillow with my belly on top of her head and my legs on her ears..real cosy.
I love to make her smile all the time.

I don't remember where I was born

All I know is that my mom found me, hungry, tiny, alone in the woods with three little brothers.
On this first Xmas of mine, I want to think a little about all those kittens who still haven't found a loving family like mine.

My mom found a cat last week. He was in the middle of the street, he seemed sick or as if he had an accident. She took him in her arms and brought him to the vet. Unfortunately he was very sick, various deseases and a cancer. He died after one night at the vet's. He was a stray cat, and was looking for people to bring him someplace to die.
He had love at the end of his life at least. I hope he had a happy life with a lot of feline friends.

It's cold outside. I'm so glad I have all this love, warmth and this small house for me and Casper.
Happiness is to wish the things you have!!!

My mom cheers up everytime she looks at all these beautiful kittens! She loves us and if she had a big house with a garden or backyard, she says she would have more!! People tell her we are too many..but then she comes to Catster and sees that there are really a lot of people with more than two cats and dogs, and they seem to be ok!!!

climbing up a christmas tree

Last night I was running aroung chasing Casper. He's getting too fast even for me! I'm feeling strange lately, I guess it's normal for a male of 6 months like me. The vet said to mom that it's too early to "do that thing"..I hope it's nothing bad. Anyway "that thing" will be done on january. In the meanwhile my mom is supposed to see what happens, if I miaow too much, if I pee around the house (I would never do that!!), etc...
I was so nervous I had to do something! So I tried to climb up the Christmas tree.. That was not a good idea. It collapsed immediately and one of the three legs BROKE (I remember trees from when I was wild, they didn't have LEGS!!). Mom said that Dad's gonna get angry tonight when he's back. I'll give him a big sweet look and do my best to be nice. I'm sure it will work!

Well, now mom's thinking of what to do. A new tree? The other one was really old. Maybe a real one? Maybe non at all? But it's my first Christmas!!!!
I'm sorry I did it, but it was so nice to do something wild..

2006 my first cat-year is almost ending!

Swiffer and Casper are now best friends AND best enemies. They fight, and the bigger seems to be tougher but Casper is faster and makes great ambushes jumping on his back and riding him sometimes. Casper is funny cause when he fights he keeps his pink mouth wide open, without screaming, just hanging open (see casper's page).

Very different personality. Swiffer like to eat slowly, a little at a time, he seems to hate the noise Casper makes while he eats as a little hog!
When I give them their food, Casper always gets their first jumping on the bowl as if he weren't eating for weeks! Not Swiffer. He sits, looks up at me, waits for my little stroke on his head, and then he eats. Just a little. Then he eats again after a few minute.
When I give him something real good, he looks up at me while eating, as if thanking me!!
Swiffer's a real aristocrat. So elegantly he waves his big tail when he walks. He looks at me and I really wish he could talk. He plays without scratching, while Casper is a real little beast, using his claws at best. Casper's eyes are less expressive than Swiffer's.
Swiffer has long dark red lashes, some people ask me if he's a SHE!
But I love Casper dearly too. He is a real hurricaine, and he is cute enough when he wants to be. I'm his mom too, when it's time to sleep, trying to stay as near a possible.
Swiffer sleep directly on my pillow.
Casper is funny and mad, he miaws out loud even when he's playing alone, so funny! That's why I like him.

When they take a nap, after a good lunch, they go to the basket where they usually sleep and start fighting a little, then they lick each other until they fall asleep embraced.
Now the two best friends found a new game to play. Tearing down clean clothes from the clothsline, and sleeping on them.

ANY CLEAN CLOTH IS THEIR'S. I can't leave a clean tablecloth on the table, because THAT IS THE FIRST PLACE THEY SIT ON, even if they've just been to the bathroom!!!

Cats are really so clean. When the litter box is dirty they get upset and as soon as I clean it they run to do their ..ehm.stuff. They never do anything around the house anymore. Puuurrrfect babies-

I guess that's what having cats is about, huh?

Lonely

Swiffer is lonely, I know that by the way he walks around looking for something to play with.
I saw a 2 month white kitten crying at me at the pet shop... Made me want to cry for him. I picked him up a little n he was so sweet. I was so excited just thinking about bringing him home but my husband won't let me.I'm sure about it. I'm not sure but I'll ask him. Then I'll take the kids to see the kitten and make then decide. :-) I wish he finds a home before this afternoon, or there will be a revolution here!! Some heads are gonna fall!!!
