Happy Halloweenie weekend! Meowmy bought us a pumpkin today. We don't quite know what to do with it though. It's not small enough for me to carry around, but it sure it pretty.
My eye has been doing much better. Meowmy stopped giving me the meds...she talked to the VET and he said something aboug maybe I have a herpes infection. I don't think I have any peas in my eye, but I don't spend a lot of time looking in the mirror, so maybe I do!
The VET said maybe I inherited it from my kitty meowmy. In any case, I'm doing much better. My eye isn't running much, and when it does meowmy rubs the muck out with her finger. Gross!
Meowmy bought us a new laser pointer today. It's really, really bright and better than any other pointer we've ever had. We spent all night tonight running after. I still haven't figured out how to catch it, but I'm getting my aerobic exercise, which meowmy says is good since we're "lazy buggers".
Meowmy has been baking all night which is very strange. My brother Jolson and I can't figure what's up. Meowmy was talking on the phone tonight about having a 'girls dessert night'. Sounds suspicious to me. Last time she said girls night, a whole bunch of strangers showed up and I hide for a long time. They were very loud and I'm afraid of strange people. I don't know why, they've never hurt me. Meowmy said she thinks it goes back to the time I got my legs caught in a paper bag. She said since then I've been skitterish.
Anyway, that's the excitement here right now. Will write more later, when meowmy isn't looking and I can get my paws on the confuser.
Purrs and cuddles from,
Binxie

Well, I'm finally getting around to entering my first diary entry and it's a long one!
Last week I had a very bad day, indeed. Mommy noticed that my left eye was running brown goopy stuff. I felt purrfectly fine, although I was squinting a bit and the light coming in the windows sure did seem too bright!
I heard Mommy talking on the phone to someone called the Vet. Somewhere in the back of my mind I remembered something about this VET person...but I couldn't quite place it. I think it had something to do with when I had the sore peeing incident, but with so much for a little guy like me to remember, I didn't really give it a second thought.
I should have known something was up when Mommy brought out the weird box thing with the bars on it. I sniffed it, and it smelt EVIL, but again...maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me. It sat on the floor all night long, looking very peculiar and out of place.
Mommy left the next morning, just like she normally does. Lord knows where she goes all day. Maybe she's out chasing squirrels (she doesn't like them much because they rip up the flowers and make a mess on her balcony). She came home earlier than normal, and I thought oh boy, she must have come home to cuddle with me! Boy was I wrong!
Mommy gave me a big hug, picked me up and tried to put me in the EVIL box with the bars. I wasn't going in there, no way, no how!
I put my paws on both sides, and pushed as hard as I could. She just kept trying to stuff me in that thing. My brother Jolson wasn't much help. He just sat there and watched. Mommy then did something I didn't expect. She flipped the EVIL box bar side up, picked me up, gave me a kiss on the nose, and dropped me into it BUTT first! How humiliating!
I tried breaking out with all my might, but the bars held. Mommy then picked up the box thing, and carried me right out of my home! I was so scared. I kept yelling for help, but no one came. We then wen't on some weird contraption that moved. I kept yelling the whole way. Finally, one of the ladies came out of her house to see what was going on. But she didn't help me at all!
Mommy then put me in some weird thing that moved. We moved pretty fast for about 30 minutes. I was very scared and started hyperventilating. I couldn't help it. Mommy kept talking softly to me, but I was really too upset to listen.
Mommy then took me out of the moving thing, and we went in a place that smelled very familiar. I saw other prisoners there in cages...and some shaggy looking ugly beasties. Mommy told me they were DOGS.
Finally Mommy put me in the EVIL box on a table that was all silver. She opened the door to the box, but I wasn't coming out of there for anything! Another lady in a white coat picked up the box and shook me out. I ran right for Mommy and leaned up against her.
The lady in the white coat was very nice, and she petted me lots, and called me beautiful. She looked in my eye, and told Mommy it looked like an infection. The lady in the white coat then picked me up and took me away from Mommy! I figured I'd better be a good boy, or maybe I might not ever see Mommy again. The lady put some stuff in my eyes that stung and looked at them closely. She then put some other watery stuff in my eye. It really hurt by then!
She then, carried me back and I was VERY happy to see Mommy again. She told Mommy I was the purrfect patient (whatever that is) and that I didn't have a scratch on my eye, so I had an infection. I then very happily was put back in the box. Mommy gave the lady at the front desk some colourful paper, and then put me back in the moving place again. I was so tired from being upset that I didn't say much. I didn't know where we were going, but I was hoping it was home.
I was right! I was so happy to see my brother, even if he is a big pain.
I thought it was all over, but just when I would be relaxing, Mommy would swoop down, pry open my left eye and put some thick gunky stuff in it.
My eye stopped running. And Mommy stopped putting the gunky stuff in it.
Today, however, Mommy looked in my eye and said something to me about the white part being all bloodshot. I don't know what that means, but once again Mommy put that gunky stuff in my eye. I don't really fight too much when she does this, because it means I get lots of hugs and belly rubs after.
I just hope that whatever is upsetting Mommy enough to put that stuff in my eye goes away soon. Because I don't want to have another bad day in the EVIL box again.
