Hi KittyFriends!
Mom got the good news today - I'm not diabetic! Though the doctor did say a diet was in order..I really hope my people don't do the ''dry round food'' thing again, that stuff was grossss. Dad is really happy too, cause he is diabetic and he says it can be hard keeping track of everything you eat.
Best purrful wishes to all of you!

Mrrups and purrs to all Catster kittyfriends - had my tooth cleaning visit at the vets today..not the greatest thing, I must admit. They sent me home with toothpaste that's supposed to taste like seafood (really!) but coulda fooled me - it didn't exactly grab the old tastebuds by the root for sure! Anyway, they also drew blood for a diabetes test that has my mom worried. Do any of you kitties know anything about this disease?

Opie hates travelling and esp. the vet. I found that when I'd bring the cat carrier up to put him in it - he'd take one look and ''goodbye'' - he was off in a place that we could not drag him out of! All this 20 minutes before we were due for the vet appointment. What a screeching scratchy mess!
What I do now is bring up the cat carrier the night before and open up the top.
The Ope bolts when he sees it, but eventually gets used to it and starts meandering around as usual. The next day, I can easily pick him up and pop him in! Happy Mom, resentful Ope..but at least no-one risks getting hurt.

Purrs all around to everyone tonight!
Well I've just found out I'm going to the vet very sooon and oh - I really, really don't like it! It's so degrading and sometimes even hurts (esp when you get stuck with the needles..why do they DO this stuff??) I used to be feisty around them, you know hisses and lunging with my bare teeth..but that didn't do anything to stop it - I just wound up with this face covering thing on my head, while the vets poked and squeezed me. Now even when I try to stay in my cat carrier - my Mom will pick it up and kinda pour me out of it. And as soon as I see one of those vets come in, I squinch myself up close to the floor and hope they don't see me..ah , but they do! Wish me the best please, my kitty friends..

A pleasant and mrrupful evening to all of you,
I've been seeing a lot of wonderful stories by adult rescue kitties like me, and it makes me think about all those that are still out there waiting.
So I ask all potential kitty Moms and Dads - Please don't bypass us grownups because we aren't tiny, cute furballs (they too grow up!) and please don't be biased by color or breed - but look for who you really get along with, as the saying goes: Don't judge a meal by it's packaging ..or something like that.
Best to you all!

A purringly pleased hello to all - especially my new Catster Furfriends! I'm so happy to get to know all of you and hear about your experiences, likes and dislikes - we kittykind are all so unique and ever changing. It keeps our human Moms / Dads on their toes, or should I say..it keeps us at their toes, esp. at night when they intrude upon our sleepspace, the nerve!
Anyway gotta add some foodie stuff here. I discovered another thing I really like - it's Carl Buddig cello bagged ham. Adult humans think it's gross, but the teenage ones like it cause it's greasy, salty and smokey and doesn't taste at all like ham. (great minds think alike) I also had the pleasure of pigging out on Nicoise style olives last night - mmm!
Hope you see and enjoy my video!
See you!

Hi to all furpals and kittyfriends (esp the gourmets among you!)
Guess I'm kinda in a hungry mood, weelll - let me backtrack a bit, I'm usually always in a hungry mood, but especially tonight. Just had to get thinking about the things I like to eat...and I'm hoping to see that some of you can share your fondest bowlful thoughts with me!
1. Tuna (yeah..I know, that statement sounds canned..but geez, when you think about it - the stuff really is! Baad baad kitty pun!!) No oil though - and preferably the solid white kind.
2. Crust off of Fried Chicken - you can have the chicken, it's pale and tasteless..but the crunchy crust is AWESOME!
3. Calamata Olives - what can I say but they're floor lickin' good.
4. Pit'r Pat treats - I get up and beg for these - please don't go to hard on me for this vile doggish behavior, but OH OH mmm , can't wait till they come out with the one pound tins!
5. Refried Beans - real nice, especially licked off of human fingers.
6. Dry fishfood flakes - these are a lovely light snack, I believe it is TetraMin that makes the best. The only problem is the small size of the can top..it's hard to cram your head in to lick them up if the supply is running low.
Of course my usual fare is the storebrand canned food, which is quite decent fare in it's own right as long as it contains fish. The other mixtures are virtually inedible. Crunchy food like ''Kit n' Kaboodles'' is very nice, especially if it's left in a back room somewhere where I can tear the bag open and have a private glutfest at my leisure...ahh those were the days. Now the dry stuff is up on the fridge where I can't get at it! Humans can be so uncaring sometimes...
Have a great evening!
