It's rough

One of my slaves found a new cat. He lives outside at her boyfriend's apartment and she decided to feed him and brush him. She said she wants to take him home, but I said no way! I do NOT get along with other cats very well. The last cat that came around my territory got an ear full. He came right up to the screen outside and I ran after him like lightning! I'm the queen of this domain!

But anyway, I do feel sorry for the poor guy. She named him Boo Radley; said it was perfectly fitting. He's black with little white paws and a little white on his nose and chest. Very friendly guy, but he's got fleas very bad. She told me he's missing big patches of fur so she was afraid to give him any kind of flea treatment in case he has a skin condition. His tail looks like someone ran over it, and he's missing some whiskers. Now that I'm talking about it I feel real bad for the little guy. He's only a baby, I'm told. But since he can't come live here, my human sister..I mean slave said she wants to take him to a no-kill shelter. She's made a few calls, and for some reason people are being very mean and telling her they don't exist! Balderdash! My people donate to several no-kill shelters around the country!

So I told her I'd rather Mr. Boo live outside than be sent to a shelter where he might possibly have his life ended far too soon. She agreed if she couldn't find somewhere to place him she would take him to my vet and get him all cleaned up and taken care of. So I guess that makes me feel a little better. If anyone has any ideas on what we can do for Mr. Boo, please let us know! Thank you.

It's almost birthday time!

My birthday's coming up soon (September 9, all gifts welcome). I told my human slave mommy I wanted my own personal cat couch, and she refuses to get it for me! She says I'll just rub against it and never use it like I do with all of my other gifts and beds. Well of course I just want things to rub against. I want everyone to know that what's mine is mine, and that means everything in this house! I'll probably get something dopey, but I suppose it's the thought that counts. I like it better around Christmas time (or as I like to call it Catmas, but my humans say that's sacrilege). Santy Paws comes around and gives me lots and lots of presents. It's great. I was also told by my dog cousin, Koti, and his new sister, ChiChi (or as we call her, Sissy!) that I have to give a shout out to them. So hi Koti and Sissy! Now you can't keep complaining that I didn't mention you! Much love!

Living south is a bummer!

Living down here is terrible for a little feline! It rains and thunders all the time, and it leaves me no choice but to cower under the bed. I have a cousin that lives up north in the big city, and she tells tales of mice and big bugs and something called "snow". She gets to go out into the wide world, where I'm not allowed. I've been having plenty of staring contests with the deer who come to visit me everyday. I'm thankful that my human slaves at least allow me to lounge on the veranda for some extra mental stimulation. I watch the news a lot and I heard there's a hurricane coming. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself, as my slaves are not much help duing times of crises such as these. Anyone have any bright ideas?
