Quick Bio:
-cat rescue
Coloration: Black
Likes: Ruling the roost, treats, love from his Mom
Pet-Peeves: Well, he pretty much hates all of the other critters (especially the dog), although Little Sis picking him up also makes him pretty hostile
Favorite Toy: Probably Tundra. When he wrestles with her, he completely envelops her and you can't even see anything of hers past maybe a paw or something.
Favorite Nap Spot: He's been grouchy since we got our new bed, so he spends most of night on a cozy on top of the crate next to the bed and on the bed in Dad's spot during the day
Favorite Food: Ted loves all treats (especially Greenies) and eats them with gusto. I never bought treats much before him, but I now buy them regularly especially for him.
Skills: When Ted first moved in, he caused a bloodbath from a quarter inch nick on our dog Chelsea's ear when he batted at her. It didn't hurt her (she didn't know what was going on), but it bled and bled and looked like we had killed an animal when it was over.
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: Ted was another one of those cats that heard the word on the street was to hightail it over to our place. He hung around outside our apartment for a couple of months, and I really liked him even though he was kind of aloof. I tried to bring him in once and he ran on the deck and just cried and wailed, and I really worried that he wouldn't integrate. But as it was, Halloween was rolling around (Ted's a black cat) and we were having a very hostile dispute with our downstairs neighbors (the guy was weird and I was afraid that he might do something to Ted if he knew we were caring for him), so we went ahead and brought him in. Ted was afraid but adapted better than expected. He just had a hard time with our dog. Eventually she learned to give him some space and they learned to coexist, though.
Bio: Ted acts like a big toughie, but he really is a sweetie and good boy. He had some growing pains when he came onboard, establishing pecking order and all that (I think he won). Now, though, he really just wants to have his creature comforts and keep to himself most of the time. Sometimes he even wants to play with the other cats, although they are so used to him being the aggressor that they don't quite know what to do with him just romping with them. Figaro tried to be his friend early on, but Ted was pretty rough with him. Fig still says hi every now and then, but he mostly steers clear. Harriet likes him quite a bit and will come up to him sometimes to wrestle and groom his head. His best buddy, though, is Tundra. For some reason, she just loves him and keeps coming back to him, regardless of the fact that pretty much every time she does it, it ends with him beating her up and her running away. I think Ted secretly likes her, though, because he will often peacefully cuddle with her until one of us call attention to them, and then he has to be the Big Tough Guy and get all grumpy. Got a rep to protect, I guess. He mostly likes his people, and we're especially close. He will come up to me and butt his head on my arm, wanting to be petted. I'll make a big fuss over him and he seems to like that. He's really quite a gentle giant nowadays unless the dog does something stupid, and then he'll usually make more of a fuss than actual harm. He's not looking for trouble, and fortunately, it stays pretty peaceful around here.

Name Origin: I remembered a old band named Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and I thought about calling Ted Big Head Todd. He didn't seem like a Todd, though. He did have a massive cranium, though, so we went with Big Head Ted.
Mom has been vegging out in bed all day. She's sad because Chan died. At least he went in his sleep. If you've gotta go, that's the way to go, I guess.
To cheer Mom up, she's had the radio on and has been singing along with her favorite songs (she's got an itchy trigger finger for that dial, though... she gets satellite radio and now she's all spoiled). I came up to her and let her sing to me. She doesn't have a great voice but she makes up for it in enthusiasm. Some of the songs were loud, and I decided that I just might not be a rocker (Mom seemed to like the stuff, but it mostly was just annoying noise to me). Not even "Cat Scratch Fever" (although that might have been because of Mom's weird sounds she'd make to the guitar riffs). My favorite song? *Hides Face in Shame* "Shadow Dancing" by Andy Gibb. I got the most mellow look on my face and just happily gazed up at Mom for that entire song. Mom noticed and started picking on me, asking if I was more of a Andy Gibb or Bee Gees fan and explaining the differences between the two. I got up and left. She can sing on her own if she's going to be snarky.
I just had the most delicious snack: sushi! Mom and Dad just started making it last week, and Mom was eating some leftovers this morning but wasn't able to eat her last roll. She put it aside on the bed, and then I looked it over. It was a tuna roll (mmmm, tuna!). I ended up with a big mouthful of seaweed on my first bite, but that wasn't too bad, either. I ended up getting rice all over the bed, but that was okay because I managed to get to the tuna and it was _so_ good! Luckily I didn't get any wasabi in my mouth (the ignorant dog ended up with a big mugful of that last week when "cleaning" a plate... haha!). Sushi is tasty.
To believe that I didn't even eat table scraps for my first year or so here. Boy, was I missing out on some good stuff! I'm still pretty picky, but every now and then Mom has the best goodies, and she always shares. Way to go, Mom!
Mom set up my background for my page and chose Billy the Puppet from the Saw movies. They call me Jigsaw sometimes because of my previous bloody episodes with the dog and my general attitude at times, but I'm not really that bad now. I get cranky with some of the cats when they get in my space and I like using the kittens as punching bags (Mom scolds me so badly, but hey, they keep coming back, so it can't be that bad). And, of course, I hate Cork Dog and will beat her mercilessly if she gets too stupid horsing around and bounces up to me. Really, though, I'm pretty peaceful and not as bad a boy as my reputation is. Now Mom went and put up a scary background so everybody will think I'm a bad seed. That's not all bad, though. I like being the tough boy, especially if I don't have to do much work for it, so if people think I might be a little on the tough side... well, good. Mom knows I'm just a big softie, so as long as she isn't telling anyone else (you better not Mom!), I'm fine.
