Being held.

She didn't have any.

Favorite Toy:
Bella had a little brown stuffed dog that was much larger than her, but she would cuddle up to it to sleep.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In her little box.

Favorite Food:
She only had milk replacement for kittens from a dropper, she didn't like the baby bottle.

Making everyone fall in love with her.

Arrival Story:
Bella was discovered in the drywall of a building, her siblings didn't make it and her mother was not found. She was a week old and covered with tiny chips of drywall. We fostered her as soon as she was brought in to Cats in Need, three days before she passed we were planning not to take her back for adoption, she would have been part of our family. Our little Bella left us before midnight on August 21 (2006).

Our little Bella was so tiny, but she was eating well, and seemed to be gaining weight until the last two days that she started eating less and less. We had taken her to the doctor for a check up, and hoped that she would be better soon but she seemed distressed that evening and wouldn't sleep. I put her on my lap on top of a heating pad and tried to calm her but she wouldn't lay still. I would pick her up and hold her close and tell her it was "okay" (to leave us) as I strongly sensed she was leaving us soon. Bella would just look at me as though she was listening and try to purr. She made one last attempt to sprint across my lap as if to try to survive one last time, and that moment will always be with me. Our little Bella crossed over to Rainbow Bridge shortly after that, and I only wish I had held her a little longer but I was stressed and emotionally drained and I was also in denial. Bella was loved so very much for only nine short days, she fought hard, but I'm glad she's not suffering anymore. Bella we will always love you!

I have an anniversary!

It was a year ago now that I went across Rainbow Bridge and Mama is still very sad. She was okay most of the year, but my birthday was just a few weeks ago and now my anniversary is here. Mama just learned that my doggie cousin, Max, crossed the bridge yesterday and her family is very upset. Max had cancer and her family took care of her and made her comfortable in every possible way.

I didn't know my kitty Mama, but my human Mama and sister took care of me. The angels wanted me so I had to leave them, they are sad, but I'm okay.

I am so excited! Mama said I have two stars on my Catster page. I feel so special and so loved, one is from my friend Waffles, and the other is from someone very shy and they didn't leave a name. But I am very thankful for having friends here in kitty heaven and back home. That also makes Mama feel good knowing I'm so loved!

My First Entry!

My name is Bella, I was a foster kitty and my foster sister named me. She and and my foster mommy took care of me and always treated me with tender loving care. I cried a lot because I was looking for my kitty mom and my siblings, I missed them so much, I hated being alone. But I was fed and helped to go to the bathroom and I had my own toy puppy to sleep with in my special box. I was going to live with my human family furever, but I was sick and I had to leave everyone I learned to love, even my three real kitty sisters. The oldest, Burbank, snuck into my room one day and tried to be my mommy, but she got whisked out. Maybe that was for the best since I was sick.

The night I passed, Mommy kept holding me. I think she knew it was my time. She didn't want to let me go, but she said it was okay. She kept whispering it to me. She didn't want to see me suffer and she said I would always be with her. She said my brother, Ashes, would greet me and that she would see me someday once again, and that I would not be in pain anymore. But I see that Mommy cries for me everyday, and is very sad.

I saw what she did to take care of me after I passed, she prayed over me and kept me in her room that night. The next day my human brother came and I was buried in Mommy's garden with my toy puppy. She found a stone and wrote my name on it and put it on my resting spot. When my brother left, Mommy came back and closed her eyes and said another prayer. When she opened her eyes she was shocked to see that the stone she had put there was in the shape of a heart!

We only had a short time together, but I was very loved, and I still am.
