He knows how to get his mom and dad to wait on him hand and foot. When he was a kitten, he could fly by launching off the stairs. He was fearless.

Arrival Story:
A friend found Jake's mother Catarina on a cold February day. The friend took the cat in and tried to find Caterina's family. The friend had a vacation planned before she found Caterina's home, and I agreed to take Caterina in until she returned. My other two cats (both females) did not like Caterina and I kept them separated. I named Caterina for Katarina Witt, the Olympic ice skater who was trying to make a comeback at the 94 Olympics. Caterina Kitty had a voracious appetite and was putting on weight when my friend returned from her trip and temporarily reclaimed her. She found someone to adopt Caterina. He took her to the vet for a checkup and learned that she was pregnant.
Caterina had four kittens, and Jake was one of them. My elderly Maine Coon cat took to Jake right away, but young Bathsheba never appreciated the adorable little interloper.
Bio:
Jake is a regular daddy's boy. He loves to hang out with his dad on the deck. He has his mom and dad trained to cater to his needs, and they provide regular door service for him.
Update: My beloved Jake developed cancer and was euthanized February 5, 2009.
