The loss of Lucy

January 19th I reached the point of having to put Lucy to sleep.
She was diagnosed with chronic renal/kidney failure and was being treated for it. But things seemed to go down hill quickly with her .. I didn't want her to suffer any more. The look in her eyes, being terrified to be put in her carrier .. not eating .. it was all becoming a nightmare .
We had gone through this not two years ago yet with her older sister Molly.
It is something that rips your heart out.
We are lucky to have a very thoughtful vet that made the process as quiet and peaceful as possible.
We will never forget you Lucy ... you were a special little love.
