Arrival Story:
Hercules is about 7-8 years old now, I'd guess. Most people are looking for kittens or young cats. He's like an old comfortable shoe. He's shy around strangers, VERY loving and vocal and loves being petted once you gain his trust. His fur along both sides and his tummy is like down and has to be kept groomed well. He has a black streak of fur down the middle of his back while the fur lightens going to his belly, which is a dark cream color. He's a mix, and doesn't have the long, lean body of a PB. He waddles when he walks. You have to be careful to measure his feedings or he'll eat half a bag of food at one sitting! He is cautious of my dog, but will go past her to get to the food dish. ;) He likes sleeping on a chair, especially in the sunshine. He also likes our cat tree and a cat bed. He does not get in the window (I think he's too big) nor meet me at the front door as do my resident cats. He's standing outside the bedroom door with the others when I get up, though, to remind me it's feeding time. Contact Lee at kd7vrp@arrl.net Interested in adopting a Maine Coon Rescue kitty?
