Day 3 COTW Celebration!

To celebrate today, mom and I sponsored three kitties at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary! I got to pick the kitties and it was sooooo hard. They are all wonderful. We sponsored Bob, Buddy, and Parker. Bob likes to walk on leashes just like my brother Spencer used to do. Buddy sits in the tub and purrs during his twice weekly baths - now who wouldn't admire a cat who does that? And Parker was getting jealous of other kitties who had a sponsor, so we just had to become his very own sponsors. We also sponsored a kitty name Bobb in memory of our cousin Basil. Bobb is always wearing his formal wear and is an upstanding guy - just like Basil. If you want to see these wonderful kitties just stop over at Best Friends and look them up!

Cat of the Day! I can't believe it!

Me? What? I am cat of the day? What an honor! I am so excited. It makes me most happy to hear from all of my friends, who I have been missing so much. Thank you for making my day so special!

Halloween Tag Game

My sweetie Bob tagged me for the Halloween Game--I am to name my five favorite things about Halloween and choose 6 friends to tag:

1. Mom leaves the inside door open during trick or treat, so I can look out the window of the other door. I like watching the night. Lots of fun stuff out there!

2. I like that trick or treat only lasts a couple of hours in our neighborhood, so I can get my beauty sleep.

3. I like to watch mom and dad carve pumpkins. Spencer used to like to to lick them!

4. Even though I'm not one to dress up, I did like wearing my purple witch hat one Halloween.

5. I like when the kids totally ignore the jack-o-lanterns and say "OOOOH look at the kitty!" *giggles*

Ice Cream Tag

I've been tagged by by my sweet furboy, Bob, to play the Ice Cream tag game. I'm supposed to name my favorite ice cream and the ice cream that describes me and tag four more cats.

My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla with lots of whipped cream on top. And, the ice cream that best describes me is Strawberry Cheesecake! *giggles*

A sad day

My eyes will not stop leaking. I am so very, very sad today. I just learned that my friend, Simba, will be leaving for the bridge later this week. Simba is such a wonderful girl. She and I have a special bond because we were both spayed twice! Yep, that's right.

And we just celebrated her 20th birthday. She and her mom are very close, they grew up together, and I know her mommy will miss her very much. I am finding it hard to type because I can't see through the water in my eyes. Please purr for Simba and her mom. I hope they have a wonderful snuggle-filled week together.

I will miss her so.

Amelia Day

My wonderful friend, Amelia, went to the bridge yesterday. My heart is so sad it hurts. She had cancer and was having trouble breathing. So her mom and she spent a day together and then she went on to the bridge, where she could be healthy and happy again. We will all miss her so much. She was such a special girl. I count myself lucky to call her my friend.

1. I have an old torn up basket that is one of my favorite places to sleep.
2. I squirm when people try to hold me, but I like to sit on dad's lap.

4. Recently, I learned how to open the food cupboard and I got trapped inside!
5. I love to sit in the grass with the sun on my face.
