I'm Officially 6 Years Old!

Holy kittens and caboodles, I can't believe that I'm 6 years old today... and counting. Mom remembers the first day when she brought me home from the breeders. It was pouring down rain and mom sat with me in the back seat, talking to me while I was crying. That weekend, mom threw a Welcome Home pawty fur me and that was so much fun!

Yesterday a pawkage arrived from auntie Chris Kizer, unkie Bill, my Bitta and Jaspurr's Aria. When mom helped us open the pawkage, we discovered that there were so many goodies inside and we were so excited. Jaspurr's Birthday is March 27th so his girl, Aria also enclosed goodies fur him. Not only did Aria and Bitta send Jaspurr & me lovely gifts but auntie Chris also sent meowmy some beautiful pressies as well. She was so touched by the thoughtfulness and so were we. We didn't post earlier since mom had a headache. After this, she needs to go to bed since she has work in the morning. Jaspurr wanted to meow that he will be posting pictures/diary as soon as mom helps him with his page in a few days or so.

Now let me tell you what we received: Mom got a really cute picture which she is going to pick out a special frame fur. It reads "Cats are like potato chips... it's hard to have just one!" How true is that *giggles* Auntie Chris also gave her a multi pack of Easter Kit Kats (mom's favorite candy) and a really cool pink rubber lint brush. There was also a special note enclosed fur meowmy.Now this is what we received from our girls, Bitta and Aria: Grandma Lucy's Roasted Chicken treats, Twitch FroliiCat toy, Kong wild tails toy, fleece mouse and a really cute Birthday card. The gifts were enclosed in a beautiful large Birthday bag which was so sweet.

Time to get ready fur bed because I want to save my energy to play with my new toys... This isn't to mention that mom has to get up tomorrow morning. Thanks again auntie Chris, Unkie Bill, Bitta and Aria fur making our Birthday's even more special and fur making meowmy's day brighter. I'm a purrry lucky kitty to have such a wonderful girl who loves me so much!

Our Brother, Cocoa Is Now An Angel!

Early this morning while everyone was asleep, Cocoa made his journey into Heaven... He gave no indication that he was ready fur the Bridge the night before and it came as a big shock to all of us... Cocoa was diagnosed not too long ago with Hyperthyroidism as well as having Cardiomyopathy for 8-1/2 years. He was almost 16-1/2 years old. Cocoa and meowmy had a purrry special bond and wow, what a meowmy's boy he was. They held that special bond up until the day he made his journey.

When meowmy came down stairs this morning at 8:15 am, she didn't see Cocoa and he didn't respond when she called him. She then looked over towards the dining room and saw him laying on his side, facing the patio glass doors. She had a bad feeling because he always answers her calls but this time, he didn't. As she approached him, he did not move so she knew something was terribly wrong. She picked him up and then collapsed while holding him in her arms, The night before, her dear furiend, Marie spent the night and everything was fine. Mom was crocheting while Cocoa was sitting on the sofa with her and auntie Rea Rea and they decided to go to bed at 12:30 am. Daddy was already sleeping since he had to get up early fur work. When auntie Marie used the bathroom at 2:15 am, she saw Cocoa in the flyer and he was fine. Daddy had to get up at 3:00 am fur work and there was nothing unusual with any of the boys. Meowmy and auntie Rea Rea took Cocoa to the vet at 8:30 and Doc Wray came up from surgery to check on our situation which was purrry nice. He said that Cocoa showed no signs of struggling to breathe and that he passed away peacefully at approximately 5:30-6:00 am. He also said that it was his heart that took him. He was such a wonderful kitty and such a good boy. Heaven gained a beautiful angel today but I know that we are all feeling so much pain as well as all of his wonderful kitty furiends. Cocoa will be privately cremated and returned back home the following Wednesday.

We will Miss Cocoa purry much but he will live furever in our hearts until we all meet again. Fly free purrecious Cocoa boy! You were a wonderful brother and loved so much!

Honored To Be Cat Of The Day!

Holy kittens and caboodles, I'm being honored today in such a special way. Catster has crowned me as Cat Of The Day and I can't meow to you how excited I am as well as my entire family...

When meowmy woke up this morning, the first thing she did was quickly turn on the computer and then went down to feed us and scoop the kitty boxes. Well, when she read in her mail that I was COTD, she couldn't believe it and immediately called auntie Ho Ann (Karisma's mommy). Daddy is at work so she couldn't get a hold of him at that moment. I know that today is going to be set aside just fur me and I know that my family is purrry proud of me just as I'm proud of me *giggles*
