indoors Arrival Story: I was curious about the Ragdoll breed from going to cat shows, not to mention being a very unique and a super friendly laid back cat. I searched the websites on Ragdoll Breeders until I found one that I was interested in. That's when we decided visit the Cattery... and there was Jaspurr (just a baby). I knew then that he was going to be my kitty. The Breeders home was very clean and all of the kittens and parents were healthy and beautiful. Bio: I am a very floppy kitty who loves to be held. Early this morning while everyone was asleep, Cocoa made his journey into Heaven... He gave no indication that he was ready fur the Bridge the night before and it came as a big shock to all of us... Cocoa was diagnosed not too long ago with Hyperthyroidism as well as having Cardiomyopathy for 8-1/2 years. He was almost 16-1/2 years old. Cocoa and meowmy had a purrry special bond and wow, what a meowmy's boy he was. They held that special bond up until the day he made his journey.
When meowmy came down stairs this morning at 8:15 am, she didn't see Cocoa and he didn't respond when she called him. She then looked over towards the dining room and saw him laying on his side, facing the patio glass doors. She had a bad feeling because he always answers her calls but this time, he didn't. As she approached him, he did not move so she knew something was terribly wrong. She picked him up and then collapsed while holding him in her arms, The night before, her dear furiend, Marie spent the night and everything was fine. Mom was crocheting while Cocoa was sitting on the sofa with her and auntie Rea Rea and they decided to go to bed at 12:30 am. Daddy was already sleeping since he had to get up early fur work. When auntie Marie used the bathroom at 2:15 am, she saw Cocoa in the flyer and he was fine. Daddy had to get up at 3:00 am fur work and there was nothing unusual with any of the boys. Meowmy and auntie Rea Rea took Cocoa to the vet at 8:30 and Doc Wray came up from surgery to check on our situation which was purrry nice. He said that Cocoa showed no signs of struggling to breathe and that he passed away peacefully at approximately 5:30-6:00 am. He also said that it was his heart that took him. He was such a wonderful kitty and such a good boy. Heaven gained a beautiful angel today but I know that we are all feeling so much pain as well as all of his wonderful kitty furiends. Cocoa will be privately cremated and returned back home the following Wednesday.
We will Miss Cocoa purry much but he will live furever in our hearts until we all meet again. Fly free purrecious Cocoa boy! You were a wonderful brother and loved so much!
Today was such a fun day because my darling *ARIA* made it even more special fur me. As mom was going out the front door to get the mail, there was a Birthday pawkage addressed to me and to Snowmitts. The return addy was from our girlfriends (sisters) Aria & Bitta. We couldn't wait to open it so mom ran to get the camera and of course, Snowmitts and me. For some reason, Mitts really wasn't in the mood to have pictures taken. This wasn't to mention that he was having a bad fur day *giggles* His fur is purrry soft and long and lately he has been getting really bad fur static. I don't seem to have that problem.
Well, mom carefully opened the pawkage and there were several pressies wrapped in purrty yellow tissue with pink ribbon. There were also 2 Birthday cards with cute stickers on the envelopes. Aria's mommy was also so thoughtful to send meowmy 2 boxes of Robin Easter Egg candies which that's her favorite... always has been. Now let me tell you what I received and then Jaspurr will let you know what he received in his diary.

Since Snowmitts and I celebrate our Birthday's in the same month and only 10 days apart, we received our pressies together in the box. That certainly does make sense but then again, we have such smart girlfriends!
Well, today I'm officially 7 years old which also mean that I'm a senior kitty, although I don't look it *giggles* They say that a kitty begins his senior years at the age of 7 but I think it should start at 10. Meowmy also bought me a really cute cupcake which she'll be taking pictures later on today and I surely can't wait to eat some of that, as well as sharing with my siblings...
It has been a wonderful 7 years with a family who has given me unconditional love and I'm looking forward to many many more. Unfortunately, I'm sad because my daddy won't be here to help me celebrate as he's out of state on business *wipes eyes* Daddy and I have a special bond and we're also best furiends. That's ok, I know that he'll call me just like he did with the others to wish me a Happy Birthday.
Well, time to go back to bed since I have a big day of ahead of me. Mom has to work later on but don't worry, she'll help me celebrate when she gets home. I love it when the day is all about me!
