From Smugg's Mom

Thank you, everyone (including the powers that be at Catster) for highlighting my Smugg. All the wishes and prayers and good thoughts sent our way are so appreciated.

Smugg was an amazing cat. He helped me study by sitting on my books and biting at my arms and face. He made we sure we never overslept, starting the wake-up ritual about an-hour-and-half before the alarm was to go off. He protected us from whatever it was crawling around under our blankets. Smugg made sure I wouldn't forget him while I was at school by peeing on my backpack fairly regularly. Smugg helped balance out his Dadda's receding hairline on the front of his head by pulling out hairs from the back. We loved Smugg so much. We always will.

I Doesn't Feel Very Goodest.

Momma first wants to 'pologize for not comin' to Catster very much. Next, Momma and Dadda want to ask anyone who sees dis to send purrayers and other good stuff my way. One day I was my normal silly self, bitin' noses and bein' a galloping galoot; the next day I was very sick and no one is really sure why. We don't need a special page or candles or anyfing, we just want evrybuggy to put a good healing thought out there for me. I's only 7 years ode and years ago Momma said I would be the cat who lived 21 years to bite her nose to wake her up for breakfast.

Who is Dis??

There is a white kitty my bafroom. The hoomans call him Gabriel. They said they found him as a stray and some nice lady took him in, took him to the vet, and now he's my foster brudder! This is crazy!!! He better not try to get my Shakey Mouse!

What Momma and Dadda Didn't Know About Me!

Since I'm an inside kitty, Mom never sent in my Home Again stuff for my microchip they embedded in me at the shelter. Well, after all this time she decided she should just do it since I'm a wannabe escape artist. She got out the packet they got from the shelter the day I was adopted and there was sumpin from the people who put me there!

The packet said I had lived with them for six months. However, I was one year and seven months when they surrendered me. That means I had yet another group of folks before that! Also, it said I am from Battle Creek, Michigan! Of course, it also said I'm a very friendly and lovable cat who loves attention. I guess they decided to leave out the part about me biting noses and knees! I just can't help myself when it comes to nibbling people! The goodest news is, no matter how many homes I had before, this one is mine Furrevers!!

Fatten Up! Doctor's Orders!

I went to the vet today to get my shots. She says I have great teeth and I'm a very healthy kitty. But... I'M TOO SKINNY! The doctor wants me to gain another pound! I get more kibble at mealtimes now! MOL!! She forgot to say I need more treats, too, but I'm sure that's part of the deal.

New Home and New Little Brothers

The horrifying chinchillas my hoomans were fostering have a great new family, but we have new furever family members. I say "furever," but these guys hardly have any fur at all! They're baby rats, that are growing very quickly! I don't get to play with them because I hiss and nip at their beady-eyed faces. Monkey's nice to them, though. The good news is that whenever the babies get pasta, we each get some, too. This is especially good news for Monkey, who loves spaghetti noodles!

Anyhoo, we have a brand new apartment in the downtown area near my hoomans' work places. This is the second place I've lived with my furever family; Monkey's lived with them in three.

I HAD A NIGHTMARE!!!!

I was sleeping peacefully next to Monkey in the Cap'n's Chair in the living room. Mom, Dad. and Uncle Jay were sitting there watching TV. Suddenly I jumped up and hissed! My tail was bushy as a racoon's! I looked around, Monkey looked surprised. I've been very paranoid ever since.

I can't tell you what my nightmare was about, but it was definitely NOT about a giant chinchilla!
