Bio: 7/2/06 - Max - was rescued from a shelter in VA. He is special needs. He has kidney problems and needs to be on a special KD food. His other problem is that he overshoots his litter box so he needs a hooded one. Other than that, I've had him for a month now. He has come along very nicely! He was in hiding for quite a while, but now he's one of the group. He loves to be brushed. He likes to lay on my lap. He's a bit skittish around my cats and dog, but he is getting better and better every day. Max is declawed. He is about 8 years and so would qualify for our Senior to Senior program. I took pictures of him and will have them developed this week. He is a brown tiger. Max was very skinny when he first came to me, just 6 pounds, but he has been gaining weight. His last exam showed him at 8 pounds. He needs another blood test soon to make sure his kidneys are doing ok. He had an echocardiogram and ultrasound done; he has some heart problems but medication is not needed at this time.
