Bio:
My life really started when I crawled out from under a house. Small and dirty, I was rescued by a kind man who couldn't possibly keep a six week old kitten, so he called his sister. She had a cat, she'd know what to do... So, I went to stay with her for a little bit, a very little bit... She couldn't possibly keep me either, so her mother suggested that they take me somewhere and happened to mention the situation to a woman she knew who worked at PetsHotel. She took her dogs there and liked the people who worked there so why not ask them for help... They knew just the people a lovely couple who had rescued a kitten in the same predicament just a year ago... They'd call and set up a meeting... A few hours later my future parents walked into my foster Mom's office... Where they were promptly greeted with questions, questions and more questions. How, what, where, why? She was almost hysterical by the time she got around to asking them if they were married and why they weren't, when my Dad jumped in and said "Well, if you don't feel comfortable with us taking the kitten, we'll just go and if you change your mind call us..." I think they call that playing hard ball, which is an odd thing to do about a kitten... But it worked, her mother intervened and show me to them and they swiftly moved me out of the office and into the car and drove away anxiously, worried that the "crazy lady" would call and ask for me back... They stopped to get coffee and examin me... I was a teeny, tiny little bundle of kitten adorableness, a sleepy, weak little bundle. They thought that was kinda odd and they also noticed I was really dusty and dirty. So, when we got home, I got my first bath. Now, they had already given baby kitten baths before and I wasn't acting anything like the last kitten... And as soon as my little paws got wet they found out why... I was covered in tiny, hard, little red bugs that were literally sucking the life out of me. That was why I was being such a calm little kitten... So, they spent a few hours searching for hidden bugs and plucking them off me... By the next morning I was the picture of robust kitten health. I went from being a tiny weakling to Jack's innocent little brother to a mighty teenage cat, roaming the house chewing things, chomping on people and animals, destroying common household items and loving every minute of it... And then something happened, my Mom got sick, really sick and I felt bad for her... (That, and she was using my beloved fuzzy pink blankie...) So, I went and stayed with her while she was in bed and a funny thing happened... I mellowed out and grew up a little and became Hurley the Friendly Cat, full of love and adorable... Now, I spend my days playing with my Brother Jack, watching birdies, wrestling with the Papillons and being big, lovable and adorable. Also, hungry, constantly hungry.
