Meow! Instead of playing with me, the humans spent the whole afternoon outside stacking firewood. And because they keep the firewood in a distant part of the garden, behind the magnolia tree, I couldn't even watch them while they worked. I know it's nice in the winter when they make a fire in the fireplace and we all sit in front of it together, but did they have to spend ALL AFTERNOON? *flips tail angrily*

Anyway, how could they do this dangerous work without me to watch over them? Sure enough, without my supervision clumsy mom dropped a log on two of her fingers and almost crushed them, and careless dad broke the wheel on the wheelbarrow and had to go to the store for a new one. When will they learn?

What a wasted day!

oh, athena, i know... they always tend to endanger themselves when we're not there! even without garden or fireplace mine isn't better. that's what they train us: kitty patience with human deficiency. :(
i hope you scolded them and told them you insist on having them (each of them) in one piece and at home - not broken at the emergency...
